Controlling and Eliminating Ants: First ants will come in large numbers, but soon disappear. This product is formulated to allow worker ants to consume the product and survive long enough to carry the liquid back to the nest and deliver a dose to the rest of the colony. Monitor the placements and ensure there is always a fresh supply of Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer at each placement.
Apply Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer to small pieces of cardboard, paper or foil, or in purpose built bait stations and place product in areas inaccessible to children and pets, where ants are seen, such as the edges of sinks, tubs, window sills, under food cabinets, along floors and base boards and in corners. Use plenty of bait placements, the more bait placements the better. Since invading ants usually have outdoor nesting sites, it often helps to put the product outside, close to where ants are found entering the structure. Ants typically follow defined trails from the nest to food or water. Placing Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer close to these trails will improve control.
Environmental Hazards: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high-water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate. Locate areas around the building where ants are seen trailing. Apply Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer in areas inaccessible to children and pets. For a perimeter defense system, place bait stations against the foundation where the trails are found. Spacing the bait stations every 5 to 10 feet will provide the best results. Check the bait stations regularly for activity. Remember ants will feed on Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer and carry the bait back to the rest of the colony. Heavy infestations may require several bait placement refills.
I bought this tube of gel today and within seconds my house ants crowded around to eat some. I've had other brand traps all around the house for the last week and they wont even go in them. I tried several brands feeding stations and the ants aren't interested, but the ants are all over this stuff! I have a feeling that my ant problem is about to disappear! I highly recommend. Easy soap and water clean-up. No odor. I put a dab on some masking tape on the carpet and some on the edge of the wood floor. I'm very pleased.
I have tried everything to get rid of the ants in my kitchen. Every day I'm killing ants, then I seen Maggie's Farm no spill ant killer, put 5 traps out on my counter top and watched. Didn't see any go in, the next day no ants. I'm thinking no way. Here it is 4 days later and I've not seen an ant since. Do ants go on vacation? or is this a dream, LOL a dream come true. THANK YOU Maggie's Farm
OMG this stuff works within 1 day and the ants are gone! Bought 5 tubes but only used one around the kitchen and outside the house bottoms of windows, putting at the crack between the wall and counter/frame. Assumed 1 oz. tubes would take more but one was all I needed. Now I have reserve for those little black scavengers. Recommend!
We had issue will sugar ants in the kitchen. They were coming thru what i think was either a tiny crack in our foundation or under the kitchen tile because there was no trail of them on the floor to the island. We kept the island clean but the tiniest crumb would draw them. We have kids and dogs so i couldn't use the borax powder product that was in the store. Found this product online and was glad i could paste this product out of reach of them. once i received it i put a small line of it on the under side of the island counter. The next day i saw the ants collecting all around this stuff. A week later, NO ANTS AND NOW MONTH'S LATER STILL NO ANTS!!! So happy with this product!
How long does it take before Maggies Farm Ant Killer 1 oz. kills ants?
I have been using the ants bait gel for 3 days now. It's attracting the ants very well and they are all over it, but it doesn't look like it killing them at all. It kinda looks like all I'm doing is feeding them.
Maggies Farm Ant Killer 1 oz. and/or any ant bait at all takes time. That's great news the ants are taking the bait. They will take the bait back to where the colonies are. Thus, the active ingredient will spread and kill off the colony. Please allow at least a couple of weeks for a large decrease in population.
My 80 lb pit bull just licked the Maggies Farm Ant Killer bait. Will it be harmful?
