Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel Worked Great.
By Mike on 03/29/2013
I was a little skeptical at the great reviews this product got but needed something special for Carpenter ants since the sweet base stuff you buy at Home Depot didn't work. We saw a few scout carpenter in a bedroom but never could tell if they were part of a large nest or just an occasional ant. I put the Maxforce in smalll beads near a crack in the window seal and along the baseboard because we weren't sure where they were coming from. Within hours the window seal was crawling with them and they were feasting on the gel. A lot of them died and dropped to the floor. I assume the others went back to their nest and infected the others. Bottom line: after 3 days we haven't seen another carpenter ant even though I put out more gel. This product is expensive given the small amount of gel you get in one tube. But it certainly works as advertised.
worked great

I started seeing carpenter ants 3 years ago in kitchen, they were coming from behind dishwasher, which incidentally I had to rebuild this exterior wall 7 years ago due to termites, this year I figured I better address the problem or I would be rebuilding this wall again.Even though it was 40 deg's f. In march they were already coming out . At first 1 or 2 and then within a week it increased to about 30 a day I was killing, after research maxforce was the product I used. I set the gel ,where they would come out.And replenished the gel as needed, because they love the stuff .The next day they were still eating away at the gel,the 3rd day I noticed only 1 or 2 eating and a few straglers walking about. 4th day no ants anywhere ,today it is 60 degs. And no ants.I am starting to feel confident this stuff really works.

Great stuff
By Gene2home on 04/23/2013
The first time I used this stuff, I had already sprayed for ants so the bait was ineffective. This time I waited them out. I found their paths, laid the bait (inside tubes along the baseboard, to make it less conspicuous in my home) and had to tell everyone "don't kill the ants let them eat"! Note: this stuff dries up in a few days so you need to keep reapplying. They came out of everywhere to eat this stuff! Well its has been three weeks and although I still see one or two every now and then, their population inside the home is greatly diminished. I will keep up the battle until they are all gone!
Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel

This bait gel worked great! I had carpenter ants coming into my house from an outside wall. I put the bait gel on the outside basement foundation and the carpenter ants went right for it. Withing 3 or 4 days I noticed that they were dieing. It's been a week and I haven't seen a single carpenter ant in that area. I'm hoping the queen was fed some of the bait gel and has died. This is great stuff and I will definitely buy it again.
carpenter ant gel really works

I've used this gel twice on two huge swarms of carpenter ants and within two weeks all the ants were belly up and the nest was destroyed (where ever it was). It is so much better than poisons you spray or spread about. A Harvard entomologist put me on to this stuff.

Amazing!!!

I applied a few dabs around the outside of the window and minutes later they were on that gel like stink on poop! It's like they can't get enough of it. Today is the first application...we'll see if their number diminish over the next several days. At present, it seems like da bomb!

Works extremely well

This is the second time I have used Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel and it worked extremely well again. Before using the bait, I had a stream of carpenter ants traveling up and down my concrete foundation to the siding of my house. About three days after putting Maxforce where the foundation met the siding, the ants were not to be found. Shortly after some of the ants ate the Maxforce I put out, I could see them start to shake as the poison began to take effect.
It worked!

We had a bad infestation of carpenter ants and I thought that we were at the point of hiring a professional. The Maxforce arrived and I made one application, putting a small dab near on each side of every doorway, near the HV vents, and in the bathrooms. Within 3 days we noticed far less ants and within 7 days they were about 100 percent gone. I still have about half of the product in the refrigerator waiting for a second application that, as of 3 weeks, hasn't been necessary. This product works.
Amazing!!

We were seeing a ton of carpenter ants on our patio--just a few in the house when the screen door was open. I called a pest control company and was told that I should have both exterior and interior of our home sprayed twice; once to treat and once as a preventative, I opted to order the bait gel. Unreal almost immediate results!! It turns out the nest may have been located in our chimney as dead/nearly dead ants were dropping down regularly. Two weeks later and we haven't seen even one carpenter ant inside or out since!
Nothing Else Worked!

I tried EVERY other carpenter ant bait available from the large box stores. Nothing else worked. I found where the ants were entering the house and used 1/3 of the tube around this area. The ants lined up almost immediately to sample the gel. Within two days, the ants were completely gone.

Great product!

This product really works, but it's not the total solution since not all ants go for it, but the ones that do will be wiped out in short order. I haven't seen a live ant in my house for days now, and the last ones I saw were seriously ill. I'm finding lots of dead ones here and there in places where I never saw ants before. I recommend one of the carpenter ant control kits sold on this site for complete success. Most importantly, don't waste your money on ant bait products sold in stores. They simply don't work.

This stuff worked when others didn't
By Anonymous on 08/30/2013
I've always had problems with carpenter ants, so last year I went nuts and bought some liquid carpenter ant bait and 4 dispenser/feeders. I also bought the Advance granules. That stuff killed alot of ants, but NOT the carpenter ants - they wouldn't touch it. This year the carpenter ants actually came into the kitchen so I really had to try something different. I came across this site, and this gel, and figured it was worth a shot based on the reviews. I bought the gel as well as a pack of bait plate stations. I followed the instructions, placed the gel in the bait station, and placed it next to the area where I knew the ants were getting in. Within hours, the carpenter ants were swarming the bait station! The next morning, I looked and it looked like they had a big party in there. Most of the gel was gone, and all the ants were gone, with the exception of about 4 ants who didn't even make it out of the bait station. It's been 3 weeks and we haven't seen any ants since!! This stuff works great!
Works as advertised

I got back in town over the weekend and it was ant armageddon. They had taken over my bathroom and room. Put the Ant Gel in strategic areas where the ants were marching and was able to get them totally removed after a few days. This saved me from having to spend big bucks on exterminators.

I ordered the above product and it worked wonders---the ants took to the gel - and now no more ants --- after ingesting the gel the ants seemed disoriented and dizzy. They must have gone back to the colony because at this time no more carpenter ants. A couple of ants with wings appeared in the kitchen but within the past 6 days I have not seen any. Good product!

Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel

I am very pleased with this Maxforce product. I put just 4 spots above the splashboard of my kitchen counter and it drew ants in about 15 minutes. After awhile they disappeared and two days later there were about a dozen ant carcasses near the base of the cabinets. Have not seen an ant in the house for about three weeks.
works!

Only products that Work!
By Dan on 08/18/2015
Have had a carpenter ant problem for months. Progressively getting worse. Spent big $$ at Lowes and the local hardware stores on their insecticides. None did any good. I purchased the Advance Carpenter Ant Bait and Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel together from DoMYOwnPestControl.com, and used them at the same time as directed. Carpenter ants were GONE in one week. Have been ant free for two weeks now. Have lots left over in case of another invasion. Great products that Work!
Gel

At night on my deck I would see a lot of carpenter ants going back and forth from their nest. I tried other sprays from one of the big box stores and had no luck getting rid of the ants. I ordered the ant bait gel and placed it near the entry to nest and their path that they always used. By the second night I have not seen one ant on the deck or elsewhere. Now I don't know if they are all dead or took off for greener pastures.
Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait

This stuff kills ant dead, I put it out where the ants were at. There were hundreds of ants feeding on the bait, they everything I put out. Then there were dead ants every where, worker ants, and queen ants. After three days the ants were all gone, dead all of them. I found the source coming from the out side and killed them as well. This stuff really works. I put out the protein bait as well but they never touched it, just walked by it.
