How do I use MotherEarth Granular Scatter Bait?
The bait may be applied into cracks and crevices with a bellows hand duster at a rate of 2-6 puffs per foot.
For perimeter treatments: spread bait with a spreader at a rate of 4-6oz/100 ft. in a band at least 2 ft. wide around foundations, patios, driveways, sidewalks, entrances, and other areas where insects are present.

Works as stated

I got this product to fight earwigs, slugs, snails and ants. After getting it I spread it out in the yard at about 4 pm, by 10 pm the bait was covered in earwigs. They were both eating and carrying it away. Slugs and snails have eaten it and died almost on the spot. The damage to my plants has gone down drastically. After applying it for ants, I have seen them immediately start to eat it and carry it away and they have seemed to dwindle in numbers. My two dogs do not seem to have an interest in the product at all. So far this is an outstanding product that works very well.

Only thing I ever found to eliminate silverfish

I would disagree with the previous reviewer that this product is not suitable for indoor use - maybe it's a problem if you have pets, but after many years trying multiple products this is the only thing that eliminated my problem with silverfish in my toilet and closets. I scatter a little bit close to the walls.

Great Product for Slugs

I found a lot of slime trails in the shaded area of grass, landscaping and along the walkway to the house. I found slugs in the termite bait traps as well. I decided on this product just to target slugs. I purchased two 4lb. containers and simply sprinkled the granules all around the house, shed and the shaded areas. In two days there are no more slug slime trails. MotherEarth Scatter Bait also targets a plethora of other pests (found under description of product) which is a plus for me. I highly recommend this product for slugs and snails. Forget about all those other controls (beer, garlic or coffee grounds) as this product not only targets slugs, but a host of other insect problems. Good luck!

MotherEarth Granular was recommended. Will it attract and kill these ants? Will they carry it back to their nest? Their mounds are very difficult to find, so I need to be able to cover a large area.

I do not want to kill spiders. Is the bait matrix for ants?
MotherEarth Granular Scatter Bait is labeled for some species of ants, but is not labeled to kill or control Fire Ants. We would recommend Extinguish Plus. Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait is highly attractive to fire ants. It combines the killing speed of an adulticide (Hydramethylnon) and the long-lasting control of an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) (S-Methoprene). The IGR sterilizes the queen and prevents rebound, while the fast acting adulticide kills problem worker ants. This two-way action ensures complete control of fire ants.
