Shake well before use. Clean the area to be sprayed. Apply a thin layer of AluShield powder to the area. Repeat daily or as directed by a veterinarian.
Water Resistant
AluShield contains a proprietary carrier that causes the active wound-protective formula to adhere to the skin without washing off in hot or cold water. AluShield can be easily removed with soapy water to inspect the wound. The usual reapplication of AluShield is daily every three days to ensure that an optimal bacterial barrier is maintained.

First Aid
AluShield is a must have product for equine and farm first aid kits due to frequent injuries and accidents experienced by horses and farm animals.
Safe
AluShield may be used safely on superficial wounds for protection against bacterial contamination. AluShield does not contain sulfa or other antibiotics, making it permissible to use on food animals.?
Small Animals
AluShield can be used for wound treatment in dogs and cats as well.
Can Neogen Ideal AluShield Water - Resistant Aerosol Bandage kill ticks on horses?
I think it can. My horse has had quite a few tick lesions, and I have found that a little of this spray on a tick will back them out of the wound, or improve the wound site from a tick bite.
Neogen Ideal AluShield Water - Resistant Aerosol Bandage is not labeled to kill ticks therefore we would not advise using this on horses to treat for ticks. Please consult with your Vet for tick control or treatments with lesions present as these are open wounds.Â
