NyGuard IGR would be good to use a rate of 8 ml per gallon for 1500 sqft. Application on soil surfaces will provide 30 to 60 days of IGR activity, depending upon insect type, soil type and weather conditions
It will take 1-2 hours approximately for the application of NyGuard IGR to dry (long enough for the water to dissipate).
NyGuard IGR and Alpine WSG are not considered flushing agents. Alpine WSG (water-soluble granule) is a non-pyrethroid, non-repellent broad-spectrum insecticide that uses the active ingredient Dinotefuran. NyGuard IGR is an Insect Growth Regulator which is like a kind of birth control for insects. It will stop the roaches from being able to reproduce and mature further into their lifecycles. The combination of an insecticide and an IGR is recommended when dealing with pests like roaches. Nyguard IGR can be added to Alpine WSG with no negative side effects. For more information on treating roaches, please review our article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more helpful tips.
No, Nyguard IGR is not labeled to be used on pastures where animals graze.
For mosquitos and gnats, we would recommend focusing on the trees and/or water sources in the area. Do not spray the grazing area. Put BTI mosquito dunks in the water sources. Horses can still drink from these areas that have been treated with the mosquito dunks. For spraying, we would recommend using EcoVia. It is a natural product that can be sprayed on trees, bushes, shrubs, etc. It is not labeled to be sprayed on any type of grazing area. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
NyGuard IGR is a great insect growth regulator choice as it is labeled for clothes moths. It will not kill the insect only impede the reproductive cycle. It should be diluted with water and applied with your Talstar P. Using a clothes moth trap is also encouraged.

NyGuard IGR is a great product to use in combination with a bifenthrin product like Bifen IT. Bifen does not kill on contact but instead will leave a residual of up to 30 days to continue to kill those ticks and other insects that contact a treated area. Those that are sprayed directly will die faster of course but it can still take a few minutes up to a few hours or so to die after contact. We also have great guides here that can help.
NyGuard IGR and Pivot 10 contain the same active ingredient so are comparable, either can be mixed with insecticides like Bifen IT.

NyGuard IGR is mixed at 3 ml per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft or 4 ml per gallon per 1,500 sq ft to your insecticide for mosquito control applications.
We highly recommend using an Insect Growth Regulator when doing outdoor treatment For fleas. The best IGR to use outside because it does not breakdown easily in direct sunlight is Archer IGR. In a 1 gallon pump sprayer, mix 1 fl oz of Archer IGR with 1 fl oz of Talstar P with 1 gallon of water. Apply the solution over a 1,000 sq ft area. Water the yard to ensure the solution gets into the thatch layer where the Flea Larvae are residing. Archer IGR has been known to last 7 months inside and about 30-60 days outside, and Talstar P needs to be applied every 30 days for outside flea control. Please follow the label instructions for applications. We recommend applying the product in early morning or late afternoon.
