Nyguard would actually be your most cost efficient product as it only needs to be applied once every 5 months outdoors. It has the longest residual outdoors to sunlight and rain over all other IGR's which only hold up about 14 days.
NyGuard IGR needs to be applied every 30 days according to the label for outdoor applications. The 7 month residual is referring to some indoor applications. For turf applications you would follow the general outdoor rate of 12 ml per 1,500 sq ft in sufficient water to cover that area.
You should plan to use 1 2/3 oz of Permethrin SFR per gallon of water. You will need to add 3ml of NyGuard per gallon of mixture. The solution should be sprayed once every two weeks and a minmum of two treatments cycles.
Nyguard IGR has a 3-5 year shelf life as long as it is stored at room temperatures. Nyguard IGR can be applied one a month outside. It is only photostable up to 14 days outside and can last up to 30-60 days in the soil depending on soil conditions and weather. Â
