Scatter on the soil surface under limbs' spread to slightly beyond the drip line, 1 ft from the trunk. Tree in sod: Dig 2" diameter holes 12" deep and spaced 2 to 3 ft. apart beneath tree under drip line at least 1 ft. from tree trunk. Divide fertilizer and place in holes. Fill holes with soil and pat down with foot
Small trees(less than 6" in diameter, 4' above ground): Use 2 lbs. per inch in diameter. Large tree (over 6" in diameter): Use 4 lbs. for each inch of diameter
