How Vendetta Roach Bait Gel Works

Vendetta Roach Bait Gel combines a unique bait matrix with the active ingredient Abamectin B1. When a roach consumes Vendetta bait, the Abamectin interferes with the insect’s nerve impulses as a GABA inhibitor and begins affecting cockroach populations within 24 hours. The insecticide works slowly enough to allow roaches to return to harborage sites and transfer the active ingredient throughout the colony directly through contact, or indirectly through feeding on feces or poisoned carcasses.

The formulation of Vendetta is balanced and highly palatable to both bait-averse and non-averse roach populations. Vendetta is also easy to dispense, not runny or messy, and is more stable in high heat than older formulations.

Target Pests

Cockroaches

PESTS CONTROLLED: Cockroaches. Label does not exclude any species.

Target Uses of Vendetta Roach Bait Gel

Vendetta Roach Bait Gel can be used for virtually any indoor roach infestations when a gel bait is desired. Vendetta has a longer listed shelf life than many other baits, and the active ingredient Abamectin is an excellent choice for part of a bait rotation program. Vendetta has a broad label and can be used in sensitive situations, especially when sprays are either prohibited or undesirable.

It is recommended to rotate Vendetta Roach Bait Gel with another cockroach gel bait such as Advion Roach Gel or Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel. Rotating gel baits amongst different brands and active ingredients provides much more complete and effective roach control over longer periods of time and prevents bait aversion.

Gel baits are not ideal for preventative measures as they may attract roaches that were otherwise not in the area. Be sure to eliminate competing food and water sources for best results.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Abamectin B1 0.05%

Application Instructions

Vendetta is for use as a spot and crack and crevice treatment in controlling Cockroaches indoors. The pre-filled plastic reservoir containing Vendetta is intended for use with bait injector application devices common to the pest control industry. Inject into cracks and crevices, void spaces, and other locations where insects may harbor, live, and breed. Concentrate the bait placements as individual spots at insect activity sites (only in areas inaccessible to children and pets).

To Apply:

  1. Remove the cap from the nozzle, touch the top to the surface to be treated, and push down on the plunger. Apply bait as spots in cracks and crevices. Recap the dispenser after treatment is completed.
  2. Store in a cool, dry place.
  3. Do not apply gel to areas that have been recently sprayed with insecticide, and do not spray insecticide over gel, as this may cause the bait to become repellent.
  4. The bait will adhere to non-greasy or non-dusty surfaces and will remain pliable and palatable to Cockroaches as long as it is visibly present.
  5. A visual inspection of bait placements is recommended at one month after the initial treatment. Reapply when bait is no longer visibly present, according to the level of infestation. Do not allow bait to be completely consumed to keep Cockroaches returning.

 * Multiple small placements are more effective than fewer, larger placements.

Each box of 4 x 30g tubes makes at least 120 bait placements.

Standard Application Rates:

  • 4 - 6 Bait Points per 100 sq. ft. of treatment area – Light infestations
  • 12 - 24 Bait Points per 100 sq. ft. – Heavy infestations
  • Spots should be 3-6mm (1/8 - 1/4 in.) diameter to equal 0.25-0.5 g.

For use in the following areas:

In and around commercial, industrial, and residential buildings including apartments, computer facilities, garages, food storage areas, homes, hospitals and nursing homes, hotels, meat packing and food processing plants, laboratories, motels, restaurants and other food handling establishments, pet shops, schools, supermarkets, transportation equipment (buses, boats, ships, trains and aircraft), warehouses, zoos; the food/feed and non-food/feed areas of food handling establishments

Indoors

Exact placement should be based on a complete monitoring and inspection. See our Indoor Roach Control Guide for images and more details. Applications should focus on cracks and crevices in areas where activity has been observed or is likely, such as near water sources, around pipe collars, where utilities enter, around or under appliances, underneath counters, where cupboard frames meet the wall, along drawer slides, along baseboards, doorframes, and windowsills. If using residual sprays, do not use sprays and baits in the same places: keep sprays in low areas on or near the floor and use baits in higher locations.

Applications in Aircraft: Do not apply any bait in cockpit area. Application within passenger areas of aircraft is limited to Crack & Crevice treatment only. Apply Vendetta in areas between elements of construction (such as areas under sinks, openings around pipes, under shelving, where shelving meets other shelves or the wall, areas between and around microwaves, where support braces attach to the main structure and where seats are attached to the floor). Use 12 to 24 bait placements per 100 sq. ft. Avoid depositing gel on exposed surfaces. Inspect bait placements and re-apply as needed.

Outdoors

Vendetta is Not Recommended for Outdoor Use.

    Vendetta is the best revenge

    By Anna on 11/26/2010

    Verified Purchase

I bought this product on a recommendation from a professional pest control employee. Vendetta insecticide is highly attractive to roaches, and it eradicated my heavy cockroach infestation within weeks. It was much cheaper than hiring a professional, and worked just as well. I will recommend it to anyone who has roach problems.

    Vendetta Roach Bait Gel

    By John on 02/04/2011

    Verified Purchase

Got all kinds of quotes from Orkin to Terminix to the local guys. No roach problem when we moved in, but over the last 6 months they took over. We couldn't keep cans of Raid close enough. Then they started coming out during the daytime. I heard about the active ingredient in Vendetta, Abamectin, on the TV show, Billy the Exterminator and began my search on a wing and a prayer. Saw Vendetta on your site, along with other products that had rave reviews. Was a bit skeptical as not many reviews on Vendetta like your other roach products. But stuck with my guns and ordered anyway. All I can say is "WOW"! My wife is now a true believer as well. Vendetta makes it a personal "vendetta" against cockroaches. This stuff ROCKS!

    2nd purchase of Vendetta

    By Andy on 07/17/2011

    Verified Purchase

In November, I purchased a box (4 treatments) of Vendetta after seeing "Billy the Exterminator" use abamectin to treat roaches. I had a severe infestation of German roaches. 2 different extrerminators actually gave up. Amazingly the roaches were totally gone after 2 treatments. I gave the remaining 2 treatments away to a friend. She had the same result. I purchased another box for a rental property I own. Again, the Vendatta acheived outstanding results after 1 treatment. I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend Vendetta.

    Roaches be GONE!

    By Cathy on 07/05/2011

    Verified Purchase

I had seen a similar product on TV and looked it up online and ordered. After the first application, I saw a dramatic decrease in my roach population. I did a second application the same night as my son "bombed" his patio room (thinking all the roaches might run into the rest of the house)....so far, no roaches have been seen at all. I'm going to order some more just "in case". I highly recommend this product.

Sort Questions
Q
Is Vendetta Roach Bait Gel safe around cats? How to I apply the gel?
A
Vendetta Roach Bait Gel is safe to use in a home with cats and other pets when used as directed on the product label. Vendetta is for use only as a spot or crack and crevice treatment for the indoor control of Cockroaches in residential areas and only in areas inaccessible to children and pets. You should place small dots of bait every 10-12 inches in kitchens and bathrooms directly in cracks and crevices on and under counter tops, in cabinets, cupboards, drawers and food pantries, around dishwashers, refrigerators, sinks, pipes and baseboards. Do not place bait on food prep surfaces or in places that you will frequently touch or in places that are frequently washed. You can also use Vendetta in other rooms in cracks and crevices if you are seeing roach activity in those areas.

Q
How long does the Vendetta Roach Bait Gel last?

How often do you have to reuse?

A
How long Vendetta Roach Bait Gel lasts depends on how bad the roach problem is.  You should re-apply the bait as often as needed if the roaches are eating it.  If the roaches do not eat it all it will harden over time and should be replaced after 30 days.

Q
Does the Vendetta Roach Bait Gel come with a syringe?
A
The Vendetta Roach Bait Gel comes prepackaged in syringe tubes and we do provide one reusable plunger per order. You should also know that the plunger is not required to make the roach bait gel come out of the syringe tube and most companies do not provide them. You could also use a highlighter marker or even your finger to press the plastic disc that advances the gel out of the syringe tube.
