The Mantis 1x2 Fly Light is ready-to-go out of the box and requires no tools or setup. Can be mounted to a wall or placed upright on a table top (freestanding bracket sold separately). The Mantis includes two 15-watt UV bulbs and a large glue board to trap flies, mosquitoes and other insects. Covers an area of over 1000 sq. ft. Measures 12.4"h x 19"w x 2.6" deep and weighs approx 8 lbs. Unit includes two 15-watt bulbs and glueboard. Each flylight comes with a light bulb(s) and one glue board(s) already installed. Available in white and stainless steel.

Bulbs should be replaced every 6 months to be most effective. Glue boards should be changed every 30-60 days. Glue boards may need to be changed more often in high infestation areas.

Mantis 1x2 in Arizona Commercial Kitchen

Every once an a while we have a fly or two that we can't seem to get rid of. They'll fly around the kitchen and make their way to our customers' heads at the bar which is more than embarrassing. Since installing this fly light right next to the kitchen line and by the door to the dining room we no longer have problems. After just being up a month the glue board shows enough evidence to prove this fly trap works. Not only does it catch the common fly, it catches anything that flies for that matter.

I had a fly problem in my restaurant. I don't any more. The Mantis has been a real problem solver. Just plugged it in and the flies went straight to it. Magic. No zapping noise either which I hate. I also didnt realize how many buggers I really had until I saw how many it captured. I guess my customers did even though I didnt. An awakening for sure.

I am in central Texas at a Christian Camp and we have a real fly problem every summer.
We have a winery and are looking for a solution to eliminate fruit flies during fruit processing
Yes, the Mantis 1x2 Fly LIght works very well with all types of flying insects, including fruit flies. All you need to do is make sure that there's not a lot of light competition and position 3-6 feet from the floor, especially in an area of high activity. You will need to use multiple lights in larger areas or areas of high insect pressure.

We recommend purchasing the 15 Watt 18" Replacement Bulbs for the Mantis 1X2 Fly Light unit and replacing bulbs once annually.
