    My pest guy used Precor to treat bed bugs in my daughters bedroom. I see it is labeled for fleas. I am going to do it myself now. What liquid should I use in my sprayer?

    We cannot comment on the treatments performed by a professional but can tell you that Precor is an IGR (insect growth regulator) labeled only for flea treatments inside the home. The manufacturer of the product has another IGR in their product line that is labeled for bedbugs and it is called Gentrol. We carry this product on our website. You will add this product to a liquid concentrate insecticide that is labeled for bedbugs. It will take multiple products for treating this insect along with non-chemical methods.     Can I use Precor IGR on my dog?

    No, Precor IGR is not for use on animals; it is for use in structures only. You can use Petcor Flea Spray on dogs and cats at least 12 weeks of age.

    Is Precor a residual product?
    If I spray Precor/Conquer today, and a larvae hatches 5 days from now, will that new adult be affected by the Precor? I assume the residual Conquer will likely kill the flea, but if it lays eggs before it dies, will those eggs hatch?

    Yes, both Conquer Insecticide and Precor IGR Concentrate will continue working after they are dry. While we do recommend retreating at 2-week intervals for active flea infestations, Precor can continue working for up to 7 months indoors (provided carpets are not steam-cleaned or shampooed). While Precor may not prevent eggs from hatching at all, it does prevent immature fleas from reaching adulthood.

    Can I use Precor IGR Concentrate outside for fleas? How long do we have to wait before the dogs can go back in the yard?

    Precor IGR Concentrate is a great IGR labeled for fleas, but it is not for use outdoors as it is not photo-stable. If you are treating for fleas outdoors you can use our Outdoor Flea and Tick Kit. This kit contains professional products to help prevent and treat infestations of fleas. Cyzmic CS is a versatile insecticide concentrate with two active ingredients, providing both a quick initial kill and long-term residual control of adult fleas. Archer Insect Growth Regulator prohibits the development of immature stages of fleas, effectively interrupting the breeding cycle of target insects. These concentrates can be diluted and applied together to save time and energy. Most of your flea control will come from the initial application, but it may take several treatments to fully eradicate a or flea population. For heavy infestations, you would want to reapply after 14 days to catch new adults that have emerged or insects that animals have carried into the treatment area.

    How is the Precor IGR Concentrate used?

    You can safely mix Precor IGR with any insecticide labeled for your application needs and apply as a broadcast spray indoors to control pre-adult fleas - up to seven full months. It does not work outside in direct sunlight.

    Can Precor IGR Concentrate be mixed with Suspend SC?
    I have several infestations going on so it would be helpful if I could mix Precor with the insecticide Suspense SC. Any dangers of doing that.

    Precor IGR can mixed with other insectides for treating fleas. If mixing with Suspend SC, this would only be applied along baseboards, corners and cracks and crevices since Suspend SC cannot be broadcasted over carpeted areas which is recommended to treat for fleas. NyGuard IGR is a more versitle insect growth regulator and is labeled for more than fleas.

    My cat was in the house when exterminator sprayed Precor IGR. Will she be safe?

    It is recommended that you keep pets out of the area while Precor IGR Concentrate is being applied. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for your pet to return to the area. Please contact your vet if you have any concerns.

    Can you mix Precor with Demon WP?

    Precor IGR Concentrate can be mixed with just about any type of insecticide. You would mix 1-2 packets of Demon WP and 1 oz. of Precor into 1 gallon of water.

    How much Precor IGR Concentrate do I need for the whole house?
    We have had local pest control spray down the whole house TWICE, bathed pets, we cleaned all clothes and have laid down diatomaceous earth. Our main problem was in the basement where they did a crevice treatment, but it has since moved to both first and second floors. We have fleas EVERYWHERE. Beds, clothes, hair, pets, AGAIN. This is getting very out of hand! Moving onto 3 months now with flea problem. Really need the help! We have no carpet in home.

    One container of Precor IGR concentrate will treat 1500 square feet. The amount of product used will depend on how much area you are treating. This product is only a growth regulator so it will take time to eliminate fleas. We generally recommend that you use an insecticide as well in combination with the growth regulator. Be sure to treat every 10-14 days with an insecticide until you no longer see activity.

    What is best way to dispose of leftover precor igf mixture?

    According to the Precor IGR label, you should call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. It is not recommended to put the product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

    Safety for toddler?
    I am very concerned with using any chemicals in my house because I have a three-year-old the crawls all over the floor and touches the floor then puts his hands in his mouth on a regular basis. I have been looking at The Precor Pro for flea control and it seems to be a very effective product that is safe. We have a sudden major flea ingestion and more natural solutions have done nothing! My question is, is the precor pro or another precor product the safest solution and should this be mixed with another safe product to control the adult fleas? Or does the precor control them effectively as well? If another product is needed for adult flea control, which do you recommend that is completely safe?

    We would recommend using Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. It has an insect growth regular in it as well which is very important. It is like a birth control for the fleas. This product is safe once it is dry. It is not reactivated again if the floor gets wet. It is completely safe for your toddler to be on the floor once the product has dried completely.     After treating my carpets with Precor IGR Concentrate, they are still wet 24-36 hrs later, should I be worried?
    We live in humid florida- treatment was Thursday friday carpet seemed ok maybe slightly damp then i woke up Saturday -nearly two days after and carpets were wet with noticeable moisture on my feet after walking on them. I am concerned bc in have crawling and active baby

    Precor IGR Concentrate when applied as directed should dry within 1 hour of application. It should be just a light spray not a heavy to wet application. If the area is still wet you should try to ventilate and air out the area well to allow it to dry and not allow people/pets in the area until dry.

    Can an opened bottle of Precor IGR Concentrate be stored for later use?

    Yes, Precor IGR Concentrate may be stored for later use.  It will last 3-5 years from the date of purchase if stored at room temperature.

    Why doesn't Precor IGR work beyond 24 hrs?

    As with most any concentrate, it is recommended to use all diluted Precor IGR solution within 24 hours of mixing since the product is not designed to sit in solution and still remain stable and effective.

    My dog likes to lick the furniture. Will Precor IGR be harmful to him if it is sprayed in that area?

    Once Precor IGR is dry, there is no worries about harm to a pet that lays on or licks any surfaces where you have sprayed.

    Is Precor effective against insects besides fleas?

    Precor IGR is labeled for fleas only. We do have other Inest Growth Regulators (IGR) that are labeled for a wide variety of insects such as Gentrol IGR and Martins IGR. Be sure to read the product label of the product you choose before purchasing to make sure the pest you are trying to control is listed. You can find product labels on the individual product pages on our website under the picture of the product.

    After mixing Precor IGR Concentrate in 1 gallon of water, can I pour some into a smaller trigger spray bottle to use in areas around the home?

    You should only dilute the amount of Precor IGR Concentrate that you plan to spray within about 24 hours. You do not want to leave product inside a sprayer after diluting it. You can choose to mix 1/2 oz of Precor IGR with 1/2 gal of water if you are only going to use that much product per treatment.

    Once Precor is dry, is it safe for cats to eat off the floor?
    I have laminated floors and vinyl tiles throughout the apartment. Every day I throw cat treats or put some treats inside cat toys so the cats get some interactive exercise. My question is, would it be safe for them to eat the treats off the floor once the solution is dry or should I mop before i give them treats like this?

    Precor IGR Concentrate should only be applied to cracks and crevices around rooms with hard floor surfaces, you do not need to broadcast it across the entire area as it is not very habitable for adult fleas.  You should also be vacuuming the areas thoroughly every day or at least every other day.  Keep in mind, IGR’s have no killing qualities when used alone and must be tank mixed with an insecticide labeled for fleas as an indoor application. When used as directed on the product label Precor treated areas are safe to return to once dry, typically after 1 hour inside.

    Can Pecor products be used near rivers and streams? Are these products safe for fish?
    I live on a river and want to treat the yard for fleas but will this contaminate the stream? Is there a product I should use instead?
    A
    Precor IGR Concentrate actually is just for use indoors for flea control. This IGR is not photostable, so it would like only last a day or two in the sun. If you need to spray within about 25 feet of a river or other aquatic area, then you can use an insecticide called Essentria IC3 for the adult fleas. This product is safe for use around aquatic areas.
