    Is there a similar product to Pylex Herbicide that kills bermuda grass (but does not harm fescue) but in a smaller size or more affordable price?

    Yes, Fusilade II Herbicide would be a great and lower cost alternative to the Pylex herbicide. It can be used in a fescue lawn to kill bermuda grass.     How long does Pylex Herbicide need to be applied before it rains?
    A

    Pylex Herbicide should be applied when you are not expecting rainfall 24 hrs following the application after it has dried completely.

    How many ounces or mL of Pylex Herbicide and surfactant do I use per gallon of water?
    A

    Pylex Herbicide is mixed at 0.023 - 0.034 oz. per 0.75 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. The amount of the surfactant will vary depending on the one that you have and dilutions can be found on the product label.

    If you are suppressing bermudagrass and tank mixing Pylex with Triclopyr, should you still add a MSO?
    I don't want to harm my TTTF with adding too much to the mix. Just want to know if the MSO is still supposed to be added along with the Triclopyr...

    How can I measure out such a small amount accurately of Pylex Herbicide at 2 to 3 hundredths of an ounce per 1,000 square feet?
    Does this product come with any such measuring device for typical 1-4 gallon pump sprayers?

    Pylex Herbicide does come in a tip and pour measuring bottle. If smaller amounts need to be measured, most folks will get a child’s medicine dropper or other pipette from a local pharmacy to measure. These are almost always free.

    Can you mix in Turflon Ester Ultra with Pylex Herbicide for controlling bermudagrass?

    Will this kill my buffalo grass lawn when I'm spaying the Bermuda grass patches?

    On page 6 of the Pylex Herbicide Label states DO NOT apply to buffalograss therefore it would damage the desired turf you are trying to keep.  Tenacity is labeled to kill bermudagrass yet safe for established buffalograss. Please refer to the product label for application instructions.

    What type of surfactant should be used with Pylex Herbicide?
    A

    Pylex Herbicide is best applied with a crop oil or methylated seed oil surfactant.  We would suggest using Dynamic or Prime Source Duo Stick.

    When can I reseed after applying Pylex for Bermudagrass suppression in TTTF?
    I am trying to suppress Bermudagrass in my TTTF. The Plyex label says: "Delay seeding of desirable turfgrass species for 3 weeks after last application". It also says to not seed "1-28 days after application". Three weeks would be 21 days...., not 28. So how long should I wait to reseed after my last Pylex application, 21, or 28 days? Thanks in advance! I just don't want to waste my $500!

    Pylex Herbicide states on the label when using for selective control of bermudagrass in cool season turfgrass you should wait 3 weeks after the final treatment. That is the time to follow.

    I'm spraying at a 2-gallon rate per thousand square feet. How much Pylex will I need for 6 gallons?
    A

    Pylex Herbicide is mixed at 0.023 - 0.046 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft.  So if takes you 2 gallons to cover the 1000, you would use 0.069 to 0.138 fl oz in 6 gallons to cover 3000 sq. ft.

    Will Pylex Herbicide help eliminate zoysia in bluegrass or fescue?

    Pylex Herbicide is labeled for use in bluegrass and fescue turf, and it should at least suppress the zoysia. Please see the product label for complete application instructions.

    We would suggest using Methylated Seed Oil with Pylex Herbicide. The use will increase the effectiveness.

    How long after an application of Pylex Herbicide is it rainproof?

    According to the Pylex Herbicide Product Label under Irrigation & Rainfall: If soil moisture is not sufficient before Pylex application, irrigation my improve weed control. For best results, DO NOT water or irrigate for 24 hours after application.

    When applying Pylex Herbicide, can you use it more than a spot spray, and does it take care of nutsedge?

    Why is Pylex labeled for spot spray applications only on athletic fields?
    I have several large patches in the center of some soccer fields I need to control post emergently.

    Pylex Herbicide is only labeled for spot treating the actively growing weeds on residential turfgrass and athletic fields to limit contact with people and pets who would use the area once dry.

    What is the difference between normal Pylex and Pylex for California?
    A

    There is no difference between Pylex Herbicide & Pylex California other than what states can purchase it due to tax purposes. The labels are the same & will work the same. However, non California residents cannot buy the California version & vice versa
