Yes, Riptide can be used in the Commander TriJet Fogger or any other ULV fogger.  Per the product label: With a ULV spraying device, spray at a dosage rate of five (5) fl. oz. of undiluted concentrate per minute up-wind of the area to be controlled.   If possible, space spray application should be made in the evening or early morning when Mosquitoes are typically most active."  You can mix Riptide with NyGuard IGR .

While Riptide is a great product to use for misting or spraying for a huge lists of pests, the Riptide is not going to provide any residual for the fleas indoors or outdoors. This is a contact kill only product so once it is dry, it is completely safe, and completely gone. This will only kill the fleas you hit directly with it. If you want to use it that way it would be 2oz per gallon of water. While it will provide a knockdown, you would need something indoors like NyGuard Plus which can be used on the furniture, floors, pet bedding and other areas where they may harbor. It has a residual effect, quick knockdown of adults, and more importantly it has an IGR-or birth control-to keep them from reproducing and continuing the infestation. Once dry it is completely safe for pets and kids to re-enter the areas treated. For outdoor use you would need a mixture like our Talstar P and NyGuard IGR. These are concentrates you would mix together to spray on the lawn and any outdoor areas where the fleas are present, excluding edible vegetation. Be sure to keep your grass short and lawn dry to help deter the fleas from the yard as these are conditions they cannot thrive in. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV can be used in a misting system around horses as long as applied per label.

Riptide does not have a residual effect after it is dry. It also is applied using a misting system. Talstar P (Talstar One) has a 30 day residual outdoors and a 90 day residual indoors. Mosquito Barrier kills on contact and has a residual for up to a month. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

An option that is longer lasting is the Tick Control Kit. It contains Cyzmic CS and Archer IGR. An IGR is an insect growth regulator. This will stop the ticks from reproducing. The mixing ratio is Archer IGR: 1 fl. oz. Cyzmic CS: .4oz into one gallon of water. Treatments can be done every 14 days until the ticks are eradicated. After that, for regular treatments, spraying every 30 days is enough.

Riptide is a water based product that can be applied outside on listed plants but not wet to the point of runoff. Please provide the types of plants you will be treating near for more information on safety. Thank you!

Yes, you can most certainly use a product like Mosquito Barrier. Mosquito Barrier is an all natural, super strong, liquid garlic based formula that will keep pests like gnats, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and ants out of your yard and can be shipped to you.

We do not recommend treating with Riptide unless you are looking for a contact kill only. Per the product label it states the following: If used in a direct injection system, the pesticide container must be locked. Securely attach the end use label to the pesticide container in a weather protected area or plastic sleeve. Please let us know what you are treating for so that we can offer other recommendations.

Riptide is our most popular product for misting systems.  However, according to the Spider Be Gone website, you will void any warranty if anyone other than the dealer that installed the system refills it.  

No, Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV will not harm hummingbirds or any other animals if used as directed. Be sure not to apply the product in the areas where they are. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for animals and birds to be in the area.

Yes, Riptide can be used in dairy and livestock barns when applied according to the product label instructions. Be sure to follow safety precautions for animals, milk, food, etc. Riptide is most commonly used in automatic misting systems for flying insect management in these areas. We do not recommend treating when the children or toys are present. They can return when the area is completely dry. We suggest covering or moving the toys out of the treatment area during the application of Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV.
