If I could give this item more stars I would. These may seem pricey at first but I have owned two of these for at least 25 years and they are by far better than the other 2 brands I own which I bought because they were available close by. I am a bit of a lazy albeit avid gardener and we are vegetarian. My bins are constantly in use all year and used a lot in our midwestern winters and are very productive. I fill them with grass clippings, maple leaves, yard waste and plant food scraps turning the contents a few times during the fall to spring period and am rewarded with compost just like we see on the gardening shows. They are durable, attractive and when we move they are going with me! They let in just enough air and moisture. I will have a much larger yard and will be buying a few more because I can put them where they are needed. I just cannot say enough good things about these bins. My other bins are flimsy and will likely be left behind! Its a job getting material out of those bins. Dont waste your money on lesser name bins.
Do I need to purchase other materials in order to compost in the Soil Saver Composter?
I see an offer for a product that is compost making, does it require purchasing other materials in order to compost or can I just use normal materials I have on hand such as leaves, small sticks, grass clippings and food waste [including coffee grounds] in order to make 'soil'?
A
You would use whatever composting material you want in the Soil Saver Composter. We are not aware of additional products needed to use it.
