Tempo SC Ultra is considered a general use insecticide and is labeled for outside and inside use. It is odorless, and very safe to use around children or pets. The general rule is that while spraying you keep children or pets in another room or outside to play. After about one hour it should be dry and it is perfectly safe to allow kids and/or pets back in the room. This product is only strong enough to kill tiny insects, and would have no effect on animals when used correctly.

Yes, Tempo SC Ultra is labeled to kill spiders. Spiders are very difficult to control and most residual insecticides like Tempo SC Ultra will kill any spider that it is physically sprayed on, but new spiders entering the area are very difficult for any insecticide to control. This is because spiders bodies are high off of the ground and they do not groom their legs like other insects do. How these products mainly control spiders is that they kill the spiders prey (other insects), and if there is no food around, then the spiders will either starve to death or move on. You will need to take special care that you do not get any Tempo SC Ultra into the creek as this product is toxic to fish and other aquatic animals. Apply Tempo SC Ultra according to page 6 of the product label on trees, bushes, shrubs and other foliage in your yard being sure that you are spraying the underside of the leaves where mosquitoes like to spend the heat of the day.

Is it safe for chickens to eat dead insects killed by tempo? Is it safe to eat their eggs?
Will it hurt chickens to eat grasshoppers that were killed with Tempo? if so, is it safe to eat their eggs when they start laying? We have a grasshopper infestation, and bought chickens to help control. However, there are so many grasshoppers, we will have to also use tempo in areas away from the chicken coop. We plan to eat the chicken eggs when they start laying. We have friends who are interested in buying eggs from us.

Once the product has dried, it only has a toxicity level of that to kill something as small as an insect. The insect walks across it, picks up a little bit on their feet/bodies and ingests it as they groom themselves. For there to be even a chance of your chicken having any effect from the tempo on the grasshopper, they would have to eat at least their weight worth in grasshoppers that have died from it.

Tempo SC Ultra would be a great choice to use as part of a roach control program. We also recommend using a roach bait gel and an insect growth regulator along with the Tempo SC Ultra to get rid of a roach infestation. A roach bait gel such as the Advion Roach Bait Gel can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. An Insect Growth Regulator such as Gentrol Point Source stations provide an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) that will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait and a quality insecticide is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals.

Yes, Tempo SC will kill grasshoppers and it will leave a residual of about 4 weeks outdoors and about 3 months indoors. Be sure to read and follow the product label to be sure you are using the correct concentration in the areas you need to treat.

What is the difference between Tempo SC Ultra and Temprid SC Insecticide?

A

Tempo SC Ultra and Temprid SC do contain one of the same active ingredients, which is Beta-Cyfluthrin. Temprid SC has an additional active ingredient, which is imidacloprid for longer control of insects. The residual is similar for both products, and they will treat for the same types of pests.

Yes, Tempo SC wil kill fleas. We do recommend that you mix in an IGR like Nyguard IGR to help break down the reproduction cycle. You also may want to use Ultracide aerosol which contains an Adulticide and IGR and this product can also be broadcast over flooring indoors.

You should try to use it within this time frame because the concentrates do settle over time. You should always keep the lid on tight and not place the bottle in direct sunlight. Also, you should agitate the bottle every couple of months if you are not using it to prevent the concentrate from settling.

How long it takes to eliminate the stinkbug after they come into contact Tempo SC Ultra will depend on a couple of different factors. The longer the Tempo SC Ultra has been in place, the longer it takes the insect to die. For instance, if a stinkbug were to land on an area that had been treated within a day or so the insect would be dead within a few hours. If another insect were to contact that same area a couple of weeks later, it could take 24 hours for it to die. Another factor is how long the insect stays on the treated area. The insect has to be there long enough to pick up a lethal dose which could take several minutes or longer depending how long the product has been in place. You should treat once a month through November for the best results.
