    Q
We want to treat our building for bed bugs and roaches.
We have a huge building and would like to treat our building ourselves. Do you have to have a license? Can we buy chemical by the 55 gallon drum?
    A

Topurchase you do not need a license as long as the state you are in is not listed on the website as not for sale to with Temprid SC. It is not available in a 55 gallon drum.

Temprid SC actually comes in our Bed Bug Kit Commercial and Commercial Roach Control Kit along with other products that are most recommended to treat for these pests.  Temprid alone would not be enough to eliminate either completely.

Please take a moment to read over our Roach article and our Bed Bug article.  Each will tell you how to treat for these pests and the products that you should be using.

    Q
What IGR should I mix with Temprid for fleas?
What IGR works best with Temprid for fleas?
    A
Temprid SC is labeled for fleas, but it can only be used outside. If this is the treatment you're looking for, you can use Martins IGR along with it. We do recommend using the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit which includes Onslaught Insecticide, which can be broadcasted onto carpeted areas, and Martins IGR.

  • Asked by Ryan from Cleveland, Oh

    Q
Is Temprid SC the best spray to use to kill yellow sac spiders?
I have used Temprid and Suspend but they seem to always come back. Is this because of some kind of plant life in my yard? Is there a better option for spray to kill them?
    A

Temprid SC is a great choice for spiders including yellow sac spiders. You will want to treat monthly on the exterior and focus on cracks and crevices where they can forage inside. You can also treat the interior crevices quarterly. Please take a few moments to review our Spider Control Article for more helpful tips.

    Q
After spraying Temprid SC, when can we lay on the beds or couches?
    A

It is safe to sit on areas treated with Temprid SC after the product has completely dried. Be sure to only spray the tufts, seams and folds on your mattress and couches. The product is not labeled to be sprayed on areas where individuals lay or rest. It cannot be broadcast across furniture. You can use a contact kill product such as Steri-Fab on the top resting areas of furniture.

  • Asked by Leah from Brea, Ca

    Q
Is it normal for Temprid SC Insecticide to leave a little smell after spraying?
Apartment was sprayed for bed bugs. Been out of apartment for 7 hours and come back and it had a small pesticide smell. Is it still safe? The bugs are confined to one bedroom and that room was sprayed more heavily and smells worse. We're keeping the door shut and staying out if here for now.
    A

Temprid SC is known to have little to no odor. You will need to check with the applicator to see if they added a tank mix partner that could have casued a heavier smell to linger.

  • Asked by Andrew from Branson, Nd

    Q
Is Temprid SC Insecticidel harmful to birds?
    A

Temprid SC Insecticide is safe when used as directed, but since birds can be very sensitive to chemicals, we would recommend that they be removed from the treatment area for several hours to allow for it to dry and for any lingering odor to dissipate.  It should not be used in any areas that they would then make contact with.

  • Asked by Justin from Cohoes, New York
    01/06/2017
    Q
The exterminator my landlord is using is applying Temprid SC and is telling me to be out of the house for 6 hours.
On your website it says the product should be dry in about an hour. Why is he telling me 6?
    A

We are not able to comment on the services or advice provided by a pest control company; however we can tell you that the manufacturer of Temprid SC recommends that people and pets stay out of the area during application and until the product is dry.  The amount of time this takes can vary depending on a number of factors such as the amount of area being treated and how heavily the product is applied, but in most cases this takes an hour or so.

    Q
Can you spray Temprid and Gentrol on the carpet?
We are trying to get rid of bed bugs
    A

Neither Temprid SC Insecticide nor Gentrol IGR can be broadcast across carpets. When you are treating for bed bugs, it is not usually necessary to treate entire carpeted areas.  Treatments should be direted to the cracks and crevices around the room where they are known to hide.  Please review our guide here for the best treatment methods to eliminate bed bugs.

  • Asked by Max from Fort Worth
    12/18/2017
    Q
After applying Temprid SC, they just fell out of the floor corner molding. How often should I retreat?
    A

If treating for active bed bugs or roaches, Temprid SC should be reapplied every 7-10 days.  For general maintenance applications, Temprid SC will last for 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors.

When treating for Roaches and Bed Bugs, Temprid SC is not meant to be the sole product in treating and should be used in combination with other products. You can read about Bed Bug Control Kits and Roach Control Kits to learn the process and how to get the results in your treatments.

  • Asked by Charles from Roseville,mi
    02/04/2018
    Q
Will Temprid SC kill beneficial nematodes?
    A

Temprid SC Insecticide could potentially harm beneficials such as nematodes, so we would not recommend applying these at the same time. The beta-cyfluthrin that is in the product, rather than the imidacloprid, would be more likely to harm beneficial nematodes.

  • Asked by Doug from Michigan
    05/16/2018
    Q
    Will Temprid SC kill ticks?
    A

Temprid SC would be effective for indoor and outdoor tick treatments when used as directed on the product label. Ideally, the indoor application would be made into every possible crevice in the room where the female ticks could go, but this could be a daunting effort. Try to picture where the ticks will wander for a place to hide, such as behind floor molding would be an obvious one. They might get up under stuffed furniture, behind pictures on the walls, inside dressers and other items in your home. All of these areas should be treated. We recommend using an IGR such as Archer IGR in combination with the insecticide that you choose. IGRs (insect growth regulators) will interrupt the growth cycle of juvenile ticks which will stop them from being able to mate and lay eggs.

For outdoor areas, you use the combination of Temprid and Archer as well.Tie a white cloth to a stick or broom handle and  drag the cloth around over the lawn and grassy areas, and examine the cloth for ticks, which will latch onto the material as it passes by. Areas where ticks are found can be can be treated. You should also treat any tall growth or shrubs.
