On St. Augustine. Can I apply The Anderson's Fertilizer 24-0-8 in temperature over 90 deg?
Can I apply late evening if tomorrow is over 90 deg.?

A

The Anderson's Fertilizer 24-0-8 states to apply at light rate if temperatures will exceed 85 degrees on the product label. However, we recommend applying early in the morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler.

Unfortunately, we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo, and since The Anderson's Fertilizer 24-0-8 does not list that spreader on the label, we are unsure what the exact setting would be. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, there isn't a master list that exists. You may want to try calling the manufacturer of your spreader or the chemical itself directly, to see if anyone on their staff has that info. Otherwise, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates. You can see a short video on how to accomplish this here.

You will apply rotary broadcast spreader such as the Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader and water in the granule application afterwards to activate granules and get them into the soil.
