We have a critter hole in the soffit of our roof eaves, and would want to ensure it would still work mounted vertically vs. horizontally. TIAAThe Tomahawk Excluder One Way Door E80 and other excluders must be mounted or set horizontally to function properly. If the excluder were vertical with the mounting wings on the top, the door would fall open, allowing the animals to re-enter.

The openning that raccoon using to enter is larger than 8x8. It's the crawl space enterance. if we don't seal the gaps it will not go into this excluder - it will squeeze past it.AWe have checked with the manufacturer and they offered the following advice for attaching the E80 Excluder. You can put up boards or heavy hardware cloth found at a local hardware store around to make the gaps go away. Then attach the excluded flaps using wire/hardware clips or staples.
