You can purchase manual dusters that work with just a squeeze of your hand for smaller jobs and electric dusters for larger jobs (attics, crawl spaces, gardens). Most gel baits come in syringe tubes and can be dispensed by using a plunger stick that is usually included. Extra equipment is not generally needed for applying the gel, but a bait application gun may be desired when bait needs to be applied often or if extension tips are needed to get bait gel into hard to reach areas.
When bait needs to be placed in sensitive areas such as counter tops or cabinets, a bait plate station can be used. An aerosol spray is a great choice for getting into those tiny spaces that may harbor insects. Aerosol sprays work very well for bedbugs, roaches, ants and fleas. As an added bonus, no mixing or special equipment will be required.
Equipment For Fog Applications:
When a fog application of insecticide is desired a fogging machine will be required. The type of fogging machine chosen will depend on the size of the area being treated and the size of the droplet needed. The Fogmaster JR 5330 is great for small areas, while the B&G Ultra Lite Fogger M2400 and the Fogmaster Micro-Jet ULV 7401 are both designed for fogging large indoor areas and have adjustable droplet size for different jobs. Fogging machines should be used with insecticides that are labeled for fogging such as Riptide, Shockwave, Pyrocide 100 or Essentria IC Pro.
