Since Talstar P is labeled for use indoors as a crack and crevice spray, you could potentially use it to spot treat in a drop ceiling, however this product is not labeled for carpet beetles. We recommend adding an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) when treating for carpet beetles, such as NyGuard IGR. You could also use a ready-to-use product like NyGuard Plus which has both an insecticide and an IGR in one product. A better choice for use in the drop ceiling may be an insecticide dust, though, since it is a dry product that would not damage the tiles, and a dust lasts much longer than a spray in void spaces like a drop ceiling. Delta Dust can be used in a drop ceiling for carpet beetles and other crawling insect pests there. Or you may consider our Carpet Beetle Control Kit which includes the NyGuard Plus, CimeXa Dust, and glue traps. Be sure that you have located and removed the source of the infestation as well. We have more tips in our Carpet Beetle Treatment Guide here.
