    Is Zero Ice-Ice & Snow Melter pet safe?
    A
    Yes, Zero Ice is pet safe as long as you remove your pet from the treatment area while the application is being done. Once you have completed the application and the ice has melted we recommend sweeping off the Zero Ice and at that point it is safe for pets to re-enter.

    Will the Zero Ice-Ice & Snow Melter hurt my cement driveway?
    I had a new drive way (cement) installed this past summer and am concerned that this product will hurt the new cement.
    A
    Per the manufacturer the Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter concrete will not be harmed from residues.

    Your price listing shows a 20 pound bag, but "description" says it comes in 50 and 10 pound bags. ???

    I sincerely apologize for the confusion due to the inaccurate information provided on our webpage. The Zero Ice comes in 20 and 50 pound bags. Our webpage has been updated and we greatly appreciate your help pointing out this error to us!

    Is Zero Ice-Ice and Snow Melter safe for composite stone steps?
    I have found an answer to whether it will harm concrete, but what about composite stone steps?

    Will Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter damage the stone pavers of my driveway?

    Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter can be applied to concrete walk ways, drive ways, patios, office walk ways and parking lots, etc. without harm, which will include the stone pavers also.

    Will Zero Ice - Ice and Snow Melter be good next year if you do not use the entire contents of the bag this year?

    There should be no problem saving remaining Zero Ice - Ice and Snow Melter for use next year as long as it is stored in a dry area.

    Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter contains 3 kinds of salts. Would this be harmful to plants?

    Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter is gentle on plants and will not harm them if used as directed.

    We have had the Zero Ice turn brown in the bag. Is it still good?

    Yes, per the manufacturer, Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter may change color if left in the sun, however this does not affect the quality of the product.

    Does Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter come as small round ball pellets or as irregular shaped grit?
    We have found the ball pellets to be slippery after application and have done better with the melters that have a gritty irregular texture that gives traction as well as melting.

    According to the manufacturer, the Zero Ice - Ice & Snow Melter is in the form of small, irregularly-shaped granules.  It is not balls/pellets.
