Kills Fire ants too!
By Sherry on 11/01/2019
I have been using this insect control for a year and have found it works quicker and better than any other I have tried. Best part, it really does kill fire ants!! They are a problem in my area of Georgia. I wish it was priced a little lower but other than that I fully recommend this product. Granules are easy to sprinkle, broadcast, or spread. I sprinkle it around my foundation twice a year and have great results. I sprinkle a generous amount on fire ant hills and usually they are all dead the next day and not popping up nearby.

Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II will be safe for pets as long as you are not treating while the pets are present and then allow ample time, at least a couple of hours, for dry time. Once dry the pets can roam around as they please.
My dog plays in the yard at daily. Is it safe for my dog to continue to play?
Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II are pet safe when used as directed on the label. Pets should be out of the area during application but can return after, typically after a few hours. The amount of active ingredient is only enough to harm a small insect.

I had a tree cut and the stump was ground up and left in the front of my home. I built a garden around it and the mulch is already rotting. I want to put something in there just to ensure that termites do not make a home. At the same time I want to kill all these other yard pests. Do I need two products. Georgia here
Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II is not labeled to treat for termites in the soil.
We would suggest using Dominion 2L to treat the soil for residual control of termites. View the product label for detailed instructions.
Neighbors have discovered armyworms in their lawns. Most likely, now, in mine as well. Have noticed many birds in the yard, nocturnal animals, skunks, moles, digging for grubs. I have treated for grubs. Need to be certain I get the army worms as well.
The active ingredient Bifenthrin in Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II is very effective in treating for armyworms. Per the product label, apply at the rate of 1-2lbs per 1000 sq ft when insects first appear and repeat every 7 days as necessary if insect activity reappears. Following the application, granules must be watered in with 0.1 to 0.5 inch of water to activate the granules.
For more information and tips, view our Armyworm Treatment Guide.
According to the product label you may reapply Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II after two weeks only if there are signs of renewed insect activity.
Please refer to the product labels regarding using both a liquid and a granule containing the same active ingredients as typcially this is not recommended nor needed. If using a lquid and a granule, do not use in the same areas.
