Per the product label, at minimum you should set your spreader at 3 for 1 lb per 1,000 square feet. There is a chart on the Amdro Quick Kill Insect Killer Directions Label that shows different spreaders and the setting to use. If your Scotts spreader is not on this chart, we recommend contacting the manufacturer for help with your specific spreader. You can reach Amdro at 1-800-265-0761.

Amdro Quick Kill Lawn & Landscape Insect Killer Granules should not be mixed in a pump sprayer with water for an application. We recommend that you apply it using a granular spreader and then water in with hose, watering can or by rainfall. It should be applied in the lawn and landscaped areas and not on a concreted surface in the garage. Please let us know if you need anything else.

Will this kill both ants and snails and slugs? If not, is there a product you have that does kill snails and slugs and is still pet safe?
The complete list of insects that the Amdro Quick Kill Lawn & Landscape Insect Killer Granules is used for is given on the product label. It is not used for snails and slugs and these require a different product, like the Sluggo Plus or the Niban Granular Bait which is labeled for more insects including ants. As long as you keep pets/children out of the area while you treat and until the product has had time to completely dry or settle, then it is safe for pets and people to return and resume normal activity.
