Yes, Bifen XTS can be applied directly to turf grass. You can find complete application instructions on the product label.
NyGuard IGR can be sprayed around lawns, on bushes and other surfaces as directed on the label for midges as an insect growth regulator and can be mixed with insecticides such as Bifen XTS.
Unfortunately, there is no easy solution when it comes to oak beetles. Infected trees should be cut down (before the newly hatched beetles fly out of the trees in the spring/summer) and the wood burned or chipped, while other still healthy trees should be sprayed annually to protect them. Because of the natural boring behavior of the beetle they are protected from topically applied insecticides and systemic insecticides (those injected into the tree or applied as a root drench) have proven ineffective for pine beetle infestations. Healthy trees can be protected before the beetles attack by topically spraying them with a synthetic pyrethroid like Bifen XTS. The tree should be sprayed from the ground to 15 ft up the trunk to prevent future infestations. You should contact your local cooperative extension office to find out the best time to start spraying in your region.
You can apply Bifen XTS any time before or after seeding. Just keep in mind that if you are disturbing the soil by dethatching or aerating, then we recommend you do that soil alteration before spraying rather than after.
You want to make sure to use the diluted solution within 24 hours of mixing. The shelf life of the Bifen XTS (if stored at room temperature with no extrem hot or cold weather) is 3-5 years.
Bifen XTS is labeled for roaches and will kill them. However, we would recommend uing our Roach Control Rotation A Kit. It comes with everything you will need to do a complete treatment for roaches. Please check out our Roach Control Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent roaches.

You can use the chart on Page 6 of the product label to determine how much Bifen XTS you need to make a 0.06% solution for your desired volume of water. For 1 gallon of solution, you will dilute 0.32 oz. to make a 0.06% solution.
Yes, Bifen XTS can be used to treat your entire lawn/turfgrass. Bifen XTS may be used as a broadcast treatment. To accomplish uniform control when applying to dense grass foliage, use volumes of up to 10 gallons per 1000 square feet. For low water volume usage, less than 2 gallons/1000 square feet, addition of a non-ionic or silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) is recommended, as is immediate irrigation of treated area with at least 0.25 inches of water following application to ensure efficacy of sub-surface pests including mole crickets. It is best to apply the product early in the morning or later in the evening, avoiding the higher temperatures of the afternoon hours.
There really is no need to use Bifen XTS. Bifen IT will get the job done. Dilute at 1oz per gallon water and reapply once every 1-2 months.
Bifen XTS cannot be used on areas that will be used for grazing by animals.
Bifen XTS is applied at the rate of 0.07-0.30 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft for Japanese Beetles.
Bifen XTS is safe when used as directed on the product label and it should never contact animals. Pets and people should be out of the treated area until dry. Birds can be more sensitive to chemicals so if your parrot was sprayed we would recommend contacting your vet for the best advice on what to do and watch for.
The mixing rate of Bifen XTS is 0.32-0.64 fl oz per gallon of water. We would recommend contacting Chapin directly for instructions on how to use the Chapin G362. Their phone number is 800-950-4458.
Bifen XTS is not selective when it comes to what insects it kills. If dragon flies land on a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dose then they could be killed. It is labeled for beetles so will kill ladybugs.
As long as the two products you plan to use do not have any restrictions on the label stating that you cannot use them within a certain time frame of another insecticide, you can certainly use both on the yard to target two different pests. Normally we would suggest using the systemic granules for grubs first since those will need to be watered in to be activated. And then several hours later once it has dried or the following day you could come back with the Bifen XTS or other spray product to control the surface insects.
Bifen XTS is not labeled for grubs. You may want to consider a product like Merit instead. You can see our full selection of grub control products here.
Bifen XTS is mixed at 0.32 - 0.64 oz. per gallon of water depending on the pest you are treating. For a 30 gallon sprayer you would mix 9.6 fl oz to 19.2 fl oz for the entire 30 gallon tank.
