According to the Bayer label you can apply to both the mulch and to the soil to protect against termites. We recommend that you apply the product to the soil to prolong the effect of the product.
Bayer Advanced Termite Killer Ready to Spread Granules does not contain Fipronil it contains Imidicloprid. Imidicloprid works the same way as Fipronil by transfer.
