Good size, nozzle leaks and needs upgraded
By Jared on 10/18/2021
The bottle and pump are all fantastic. The wand and nozzles do not spray evenly and they leak and drip a lot. Hoping the upgrade nozzle and hose help, but that is another $110. For the price of this sprayer, it should come with those nozzles.

$70.00 piece of junk! Leaks air constantly
By Frank on 05/04/2022
Is there a zero star rating? I paid $70.00 for this leaking nonsense. I even replaced (at my cost) the pump/lid assembly to no avail. So, now we're into this thing over $100.00 and the lid constantly leaks by making application of chemicals a nightmare. Lids for these sprayers should not have to be torqued down so tight that you throw your shoulder out trying to open in again. There is no O-ring or gasket for the lid? Really? There is no way that you should buy this sprayer for $70.00 because it's junk and Chapin should be ashamed of its design and DMO should be ashamed for carrying it.
Expert response:
We are sorry that you are having trouble with your sprayer. Usually loss of pressure is fairly easy to fix if you have taken care of your sprayer. Since it has been more than 90 days since your purchase, we suggest contacting Chapin directly regarding troubleshooting your sprayer. They have excellent customer service, and your sprayer should be warranted from defects for one year with Chapin. Be sure to let them know you purchased the sprayer from Do My Own Pest Control. Excellent value for a home user
By Craig on 07/21/2023
A big improvement from the typical sprayers you can purchase at HD or Lowes. The size is just right for use for inside pest control The design of the canister / pump closure is solid. I typically mix 1/2 gal or less for use in my house and the canister design allows for efficient spray as the volume gets low. the sprayer valve is much better in quality, which provides much better control. I also liked the pressure relief valve design compared to the lower cost sprayers.

Quality Sprayer
By Nathaniel on 11/19/2023
The build quality of this sprayer is nothing like I've ever seen before. The spray wond and hose connections are absolutely rock solid. And as long as you take care of it I can easily see it lasting a very long time. The fact that replacement parts are sold is a really nice touch too. Also, as a pro tip. If you're spray an insecticide like Talstar P, I suggest you get the Chapin Brass Fan Spray Nozzle too. It makes life so much easier.

I'm glad I purchased this sprayer
By Yuko on 05/01/2011
This sprayer is well made, sturdy, and very easy to use. This is my first time purchasing a sprayer, and I'm glad I saw it on the DoMyOwnPestControl.com website. I bought a one-gallon sprayer. I really like it. I use it for spraying weeds in my yards. It is fun going around with this sprayer because it is easy to control the handle and the nob. It made my job so much easier. I may purchase a two-gallon sprayer next time for a pest control. The product is worthwhile the price.
Good durable sprayer
By Dave on 05/19/2011
I learned a while ago to not cheap out when buying a sprayer. The money you save buying something for twenty bucks with plastic parts and a plastic spray nozzle is money wasted. The Chapin Premier Sprayer I recently ordered was super easy to assemble and use. I immediately put it to work spraying insecticide for two solid hours without a single clogging issue, or other malfunction.

GREAT Sprayer
By J.d. on 07/17/2011
After getting frustrated with the plastic wand sprayers not working after using them a few times, I purchased this sprayer. I am glad, I did as the spray control was very easily adjustable and the trigger was comfortable to use. I purchased this sprayer to put a pest barrier of Talstar on the entire perimeter of my house. I highly recommend this sprayer as this is one for long term usage, not like the ones at the big box hardware stores.
Chapin Premier 1 Gallon Sprayer.
By Debra on 07/22/2011
A great sprayer and worth every penny. The hose is made of a ribbed hard rubber. The nossels are all metal and easy to use. The price was great because you get a quality product that with care will last for years. I ordered my product and two days later it was here. Loved it.
Excellent professional quality sprayer
By Rick on 07/28/2011
This sprayer is great. If you are sick of those plastic pumps that fall apart or the plastic spray wands that don't work worth a c@%&* spend a little extras money and get one of these. It contains a lot of metal parts in the pump and the whole wand is metal. Highly recommended!!!
Chapin Premier Sprayer- 1 gal.
By John on 07/31/2011
Though the sprayer itself is very good, and well constructed, the spray nozzle is not precise enough to produce a narrow and fine spray. It sprays either too broad or too much a stream. Mfgr. could fix this quickly with some effort. Hardware store sprayers can do better, though may not have the quality construction.
Quality sprayer, durable parts
By Alex on 08/11/2011
Although you spend a bit more for the sprayer, it is worth it. The large opening facilitates filling, and the quality parts seem like they'll last long. The pressure release is a great feature. Haven't seen an internal "fill line" but its easy in general as it only holds 1 gallon. Spray is well placed, and even with the included nozzle.

Great option when you do your own pest control
By Rachel on 08/25/2011
This makes spraying so much easier! The only thing is that the nozzle spray fans out in a circle. Outside this doesn't matter much...but I'm concerned about the inside and getting pesticide everywhere b/c it will take longer to dry inside. But still much better than using a spray bottle.
Great Sprayer for the Money
By Shane on 09/07/2011
This sprayer works exactly like I expected it to. No drips from the wand when the handle wasn't depressed. Good pattern of spray from the brass nozzle. Thick but flexible hose as well as a wide mouth for filling. My only complaint about it is that the nipple of the wand does not extend enough to match the length of the handle. So it feels like you use the hose to squeeze the handle- not problematic just seems like a weak point for excess wear to occur. It is obviously not a huge deal I still gave 5 stars.
Best Sprayer I have ever used!

Chapin Premier Sprayer
By Jim on 11/04/2011
The unit is solid and well built. But as others have said, the spray pattern control is bad. The spray comes out very heavy regardless of the adjustment (soak the floor if your not careful). It goes from full fan to stream and difficult to get anything in between.
10x performance for 2.5x price
By John on 11/28/2011
I've had 2 pump sprayers that you buy for $20 at the local hardware store. They always leak at the seal - you can hear them hissing as you walk around. The Chapin sprayer is obviously high-quality construction. The O-ring seal is a much better design than the cheapo sprayers. The wand is all metal construction. No leaks; just fast, reliable application. Well worth the money. Flow cannot be reduced to a mist. If you want to spray, buy this product. If you want to mist, buy another product or try to modify this one.
Nice Sprayer
By Mark on 12/14/2011
This is NOT your garden-variety poly sprayer. It has a substantial feel. The pump handle is metal. The pressure relief valve is a great feature to have. The only negative thing I have to say is that I don't care for the nozzle. I can't get the spray pattern adjusted to suit me.
Great quality!
By Andyg on 03/17/2012
This sprayer is so far beyond the cheap ones you get in stores. The lid is very heavy duty, as well as the pump, handle, and everything else. The tank is thick as well, thick enough to where you can't visually see the level of the liquid inside. Before I used it I put a flashlight up to the 1gal and 1/2gal marks on the outside, then used a Sharpie to put a mark at the dot of light on the inside. The wand is very high quality, as well as the hose and tip. For indoor use spraying Talstar I just used a straight stream, low pressure, and light pressure on the trigger. This will surely be the last 1gal sprayer I ever use, especially since every o-ring and hard part can be purchased as replacement parts.
Sprayer
By Alan on 03/17/2012
Item arrived with the weed killer, was easy to assemble and easy to use. It's especially nice to have the automatic function on the wand so you don't have to keep the spray trigger manually depressed. Do wish it would have come with a strap or something that you could put on your shoulder, but then again I'm just being lazy
Good quality sprayer - heavy stream
By Erin on 04/02/2012
Purchased because I was tired of the cheap ones clogging and failing. Assembly was easy, but took some care to eliminate leaking. Appears to be high quality and well balanced. Easy to load, pump, carry, and clean. Spray is not as fine as I believe a household poison sprayer should be. It will throw a thick stream quite a ways: good for spraying corners of the attic and under gutters, but would not spray a fine mist as I desired for inside baseboards. It is acceptable, but not as good as I believe a $50 should be. Overall, I would probably still purchase again.
