Box elder bug problems
By Todd in Mongomery, IL. on 04/12/2010
I had a Box Elder bug problem for the last 20 years. I have used several different products out on the market and have not found anything that would work. Since I have bought Cynoff EC and applied it to the surrounding foundation of my house the bugs have not returned. I am very pleased with your product and would recommend Cynoff to anyone having the same issue I have had.

Great Product. Same as Pros use
By Lorraine in Lompoc, CA on 11/10/2010
We priced a professional and they wanted $150 for the first treatment followed by $60 every two months. In addition, they wanted everybody and all pets removed for 4hrs when they came for the treatment. I checked and this is the stuff they use. Easy to mix and use, not nearly as harmful as many products, and it seems to work great! Don't waste your money on the "Pros" just "Do My Own Pest Control!"

Cynoff EC = Dead Spiders
By Paul in Bixby, Oklahoma on 07/11/2011
I have been fighting brown recluse spiders for almost two years. Most of my fight has been done by a "professional exterminator". After doing a lot of research on the brown recluse spider and pest control in general, I discovered that my exterminator was not using the best pesticide for spiders, he was not using an appropriate amount of pesticide and he was not applying the pesticide in a way that would create an effective bug-barrier. Prior to me taking on the spiders myself, the only dead spiders I found were in some of the 30+ glue traps that I have stationed around the inside of my home and in my garage. Since I have been doing my own pest control, the spider-count in the traps is down substantially and I am actually finding dead or dying spiders outside of the traps. Cynoff EC is a real killer. I use Cynoff EC inside my home because it is non-staining; I use Demon WP around the perimeter of my home and in the garage because it is a wettable powder and it has a little more staying power. Cynoff EC and Demon WP have the same active ingredients, but the Cynoff EC drys clear and the Demon WP leaves a visible residue on my wood floors. Both work very well against spiders.

Needed help with spiders and other crawling pests
By Annie in Livingston, TX on 08/11/2010
So far, since spraying a week ago, we are seeing fewer spider webs. There are crawling insects laying on their backs with feet in the air. It looks like we have a good product here. We mixed it according to directions on the label. I was so pleased that it did not leave a white residue on the paint, screens and windows. This bottle looks like it will last a long time.

We've had a ladybug problem for 5 years and used Cynoff EC to take care of it. The spray was easy to apply, it didn't stain our house, and it was very effective. We sprayed a little over a week ago, and we continue to see new dead bugs. We are very happy with this product and plan to reapply if needed.
Just as expected

My purchase of Cynoff EC
By Mary in Myrtle Beach, SC on 05/14/2017
Your Web site was recommended to me by a professional exterminator, I do my own pest control and it was recommended to me to buy Cynoff EC because I have a problem with Palmetto bugs, I was getting at least 6 to 10 in the house daily, since I started using Cynoff EC I've seen 2 in the house in the last 2 weeks and those 2 were on their backs, so needless to say I'm very satisfied with this product and the service and shipping by your company . Thank you

Sign off on insect problems
By Ski in Venice, Florida on 08/16/2016
I live in South Florida. Part of the building process is to poison the entire footprint of the construction slab before pouring. This is an indication of how prominent the insect problem is. In this case, termites. I found this product online a decade ago. I use nothing else. I spray the exterior walls about two feet above the ground in a continuous line. I sometimes spray the interior along the baseboard line throughout. But after about 2 or 3 years of interior spraying I don't even do that anymore. The bugs are gone. Now I spray the exterior once a year and see an occasional ant. There is nothing like it. It lasts for months and months. It makes gallons. We have cats too. Once it dries..never a problem. If you have a bug problem, buy this stuff. Ski, Florida.
This is the real deal!
By Aimee in El Paso, TX on 08/13/2016
We live in the desert where we get scorpions, camel spiders etc, and with this, we don't see any of them. When I lived at my parents house we used this for 10 years and never saw a single roach or spider in those 10 years. Then my husband and I bought our first home in the newer development and started seeing scorpions and camel spiders. We spray once every two or three months and it keeps everything away, including smaller problems like fire ants in the backyard. Love love love and will never live without this stuff. We are your walking advertisement!

Sprayed around my home foundation about a week ago. Numerous dead insects found. Cockroaches, spiders, beetles, ants. Seems to be an excellent control barrier.

By Alvin in Edinburg, VA on 05/12/2016

Cynoff EC will kill bagworms
By John in Madison AL on 07/11/2014
I have been using this around the house for a couple years and it works well. I found that my evergreen shrubs were covered with bagworms. This product is not listed for bagworms but it is in the same class of chemicals so I tried it. Mixed at 1 oz per gallon in a hose end sprayer. 30 minutes later they where hanging out of the bags and dying.

QWill Cynoff EC leave a noticeable film on my dark siding?
I notice that several of the cypermethrin based products say they leave a powdery film on dark surfaces. I want to spray my dark gray siding where I have a massive stink bug infestation. Does this product leave a similar film?
ACynoff EC will not leave a white powdery residue on dark siding. The products that leave that white powdery residues are in fact wettable powders and all have the letters WP in the product name (Cynoff WP, Demon WP).

QWhen spraying indoors Cyonff EC indoors, how long before it will be safe for indoor dogs to return?
ADogs can safely return to treated areas treated with Cynoff EC after the area is dry. Usually this will take about an hour.

QI need directions for mixing ratio for the liquid Cynoff EC concentrate.
Purchased the bottle last year and lost the mixing directions
AThe Cynoff EC is mixed at different ratios depending on the pest you are treating. Typically, you would mix 0.5 - 1 oz per gallon of water. Please be sure to read the Cynoff EC product label before using.

QWill Cynoff EC kill ticks and fleas in the yard?
How much of an area does one bottle cover?
AYes Cynoff EC will kill Fleas and ticks in the yard. You want to mix 1oz Cynoff EC with 1 gallon of water. For best results, we recommend also mixing in an Insect Growth Regulator like Nyguard that will treat the eggs, larvae or nymphs - and prevent them from maturing into reproductive adults thereby controlling future infestations. NyGuard IGR will cause morphological anomalies or changes and disrupt the expected insects' state of development, leading to sterility or death. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
QHow long is the residual effect Cynoff EC expected to last?
Cynoff EC is a residual pest control product. When used indoors I would expect it to be effective longer than when used outdoors. I read that it should be applied every two weeks for proper control of fleas, but that seems like a very short residual effect. So, how frequently should I treat with Cynoff EC for control of ants, roaches and flies?
ACynoff EC can be expected to last up to 30 days outdoors and up to 60 days indoors. UV light and rain outside can deplete the residual outside, but UV light is the main culpret. If one side of your home is in direct sunlight all day, then you may only get 3 weeks out of the product. For fleas specifically it is a good idea to treat once and then again exactly two weeks later because fleas hatch every two weeks and your chances are better if the product is stronger than weaker. After the first two treatments you should be able to only apply every 30 to 60 days for maintenance control.

QDoes Cynoff EC work on mole crickets?
A No, Cynoff EC is not labeled for mole crickets. We would recommend using Bifen XTS for mole crickets. The label recommends that you use the lower rate of 0.07 oz. per gallon of water in early Spring to control overwintered mole crickets.† For summer applications, it is recommend to use the higher rate of 0.15 fl oz. per gallon of water.

QIs this oil based like Demon Max? I don't want any staining. Need a complete general use product for rentals.
AYes, the Cynoff EC is oil based, may stain, and has a foul odor. However, Bifen IT would be a great water based insecticide that will not stain any surface that is tolerable to water, has low odor, and is a broad spectrum insecticide that may be used indoors and outdoors for most of your pest control needs.

QWhat products are recommended for the control/elimination of Odorous House Ants?
Odorous house ants are present in our home, around the exterior foundation, and throughout our landscaping. In certain locations, they seem to come from the walls. They only present themselves in the warm weather months and disappear during the cold winter months. I have used Cynoff EC in both interior and exterior applications with marginal results. I have used baits from the local hardware store, with Terro Liquid Ant Killer being the only product that they are attracted to. But the Terro seems to only provide limited control without eliminating them. I'm wondering if a dust application or some higher strength bait would provide better results. They are quite picky when it comes to baits, so selecting an effective one has been challenging. Please recommend some products that will help control/eliminate these little boogers!
AFor an outside treatment for Odorous house ants, Cynoff EC is good to use for outdoor use. Indoors, baits are good to use. A protein bait, Maxforce Complete Granular Bait and a sugar bait, Maxforce FC Ant Bait Gel are the baits that can be used inside. Ants will eat one or the other or both depending on what they are looking for at that moment. A dust that can be used inside the wall voids is Delta Dust Insecticide. That can be placed inside the walls with a hand duster by taking off the electrical sockets and light plates.

QWe are in Cherry Valley, Ca. 92223. We have black widows, ants, and mice. What do you recommend for each?
We live on 5 acres, have chickens, dogs, and cats. We have used your Cynoff EC and are not sure if that is the best application and whether or not it is safe for the chickens.
ACynoff Ec is a great product to treat Mice and Black Widow spiders. Please contact FMC to make sure exactly where you can apply this product, as California does have restictions. 800-321-1362. We recommend using Mouse bait stations like protecta RTU stations and then putting mouse bait in the stations like Contract Blox. Please see our Mouse Control Page.

QCan you use Cynoff EC with a ULV fogger?
AYes, you can apply Cynoff ec with a fogger. Per label : Use a fogging apparatus which delivers the material in a strong air carrier, producing a small particle size (10-50 microns). Hold the nozzle about three feet from the surface to be treated. Apply when wind velocity is less than 2mph drift. Fogging works great on mosquito treatments.
