    Q
Will Essentria IC3 kill bees (including honey bees)?
Given the growing concerns about the bee population, prior to buying this I want to ensure it will not harm the bees if I spray it around my yard (obviously not directly onto a bee)
    A

Essentria IC3 Insecticide could potentially harm bees if they come in contact with the treated area. If you are spraying when they are not active, they should be fine.

Is Essentria IC3 and Temprid hazzardous and toxic to humans and pets?
Does it cause nerve damage, strokes, hair loss, breathing problems, or lung problems etc?

Keep children and animals out of the area when doing the initial treatment. Also, wearing long sleeves, long pants, inclosed shoes, and a mouth/nose covering on windy days will help reduce any possible risk or contact with the product.

  • Asked by Chris from St. Louis, Mo
    01/22/2016
    Q
Can Essentria IC3 Insecticide be mixed with Mosquito Barrier?
    A

No, Essentria IC3 and Mosquito Barrier should not be mixed. They have two different modes of action and will essentially work against each other. If you are wanting something to provide a knockdown and have the residual effects, we would recommend using Exciter Insecticide. This can be mixed with Essentria IC3.

What can I use for mosquitoes around my lake house?
I have a lake house and I have mosquitoes. Is there something I can use around the lake that puts a barrier up so Mosquitoes don't come off the lake and that is safe to use around the water. Also, what can i use on my dock to get rid of the spiders?
    A
Essentria IC3 is the right product for you! Essentria IC3 is safe to use around your family and also around aquatic life and it will work great for mosquitoes and spiders. Essentria IC3 does not repel insects but rather eliminates them once they land on treated surfaces.

  • Asked by Marianne from Carlsbad, Ca

    Q
Will Essentria IC3 kill Argentine Ants?
The manufacturer of IC3 returned my call but did not answer my question: does this product kill Argentine ants? It lists "ants" but doesn't say which kind. Can you just find out and answer my email?
    A
Essentria IC3 can eliminate any type of ant (including Argentine Ants) that crosses over treated areas. You should note that the product will not be carried back to the colony and transferred to other ants, only the ants that actually come in contact with treated areas will be eliminated. We do carry Termidor SC and Phantom which both work with a transfer effect and are labeled for most types of ants. If you would prefer to stick to all natural products you should consider using a combination of ant baits such as the Gourmet Ant Bait Gel and the Intice Fine Bait Granules. Baits will be picked up by the foraging ants and carried back to the colony. After the infestation is gone you can follow up with the Essentria IC3 as a barrier spray around the exterior of your home to stop new ants from moving in.

  • Asked by Cordel from San Antonio, Tx
    06/07/2016
    Q
How often does the Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate last? And does it need to be reapplied after rain?
I like the sound of the product.
    A

The Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate can be expected to last about 6 weeks around a structure.  Longevity depends on exposure to sunlight mainly.  Areas not in direct view of the sun can last longer.  Areas exposed to sunlight for much of the day can be much less.  We recommend to reapply Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate every 2-4 weeks if it rains, but especially in the spring and summer months.

  • Asked by Keith from Amherst, Ma
    09/06/2015
    Q
Is there an outside temperature that is too hot for applying Essentria IC3?
Also, does early morning dew affect it? I'm wondering about the optimal time and temperature for application of Essentria IC3.
    A

There is not a specific temperature requirement for applying Essentria IC3 except that temperatures should be above freezing to avoid damaging your spray equipment. Because this concentrate contains botanical oils, we would recommend avoiding spraying sensitive ornamental plants in the hottest part of the day or just before this time, most likely when temperatures may be over 90 degrees. This is just to reduce the possiblity of burning sensitive plants. You will usually see better residual spraying plants that are not already wet from dew or precipitation. We would not recommend spraying when the ground is very wet from precipitation, or when rainfall is expected within 24 hours.

    Q
Will Essentria IC3 also kill beneficial insects like ladybugs, caterpillars, bees or butterflies?
    A
Essentria IC3, like most insecticides, even natural ones, will kill bees if they land on a treated surface.  You should not apply this product or any other type of product intended to kill insects on any flowering plants that the bees may land on. Essentria IC3 is not labeled for any of those pests. This does not go to say they will not be effected. Please contact Envincio 800-652-2427 to ensure these beneficial will not be effected in your area.
