    Q
Can you mix ExciteR, Arilon, and Nyguard for German roach's?
I would like to know if ExciteR, Arilon and Nyguard can be mix together in a PAS for Germin roaches? If yes, what is a good mix rate?

    Q
Can you use TalstarP with ExciteR Insecticide in a propane fogger?
    A

While Talstar P cannot be used a fogger, you can use Exciter alone in a ULV/thermal fogger. For tank mixing these 2, we recommend hand pump sprayershose end sprayersbackpack sprayers, and mist blowers.

    Q
How often can ExciteR Insecticide be applied outdoors?
    A

Exciter can be mixed with any insecticide to add an extra "kick", or knockdown of insects only.  It will not extend the residual of them. You should apply when you apply your residual insecticide.

    Q
What other products are similar to ExciteR?
I would be mixing it with Cyzmic CS and Archer IGR for mosquitos and ticks. Just looking to weight my options and read about the others.
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is a one of a kind product as it is a fast knockdown. There are very few products that are similar but here are a few: Stryker Multi-Use Insecticide, EverGreen Pro 60-6, and Kicker Insecticide.

    Q
Is ExciteR Insecticide harmful to humans?
Pest control using in my apartment. I have my grandkids sleeping over and want to be very careful
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is safe when used as directed and is a contact kill only.  Once dry on surfaces there is no residual left behind.  People should be out of treated areas until dry, typically about 1 hour inside.

    Q
Can Exciter be mixed with BP300?
    A

BP 300 is a pyrethrin based product with a PBO synergist so there would be no valid reason to add Exciter R which is also a pyrethrin based product with a PBO synergist.

    Q
Where can I use ExciteR Insecticide?
Can it be sprayed on trees, ornamentals, shrubs, bushes, houses? Does it stain?
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is labeled to be used both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors you can apply this to bushes, trees, shrubs, landscaped areas, and in the lawn area.  Please refer the product label for complete instructions.

ExciteR is not known to stain.. As with all insecticides, we still recommend spraying a small inconspicuous area to see if staining occurs. If staining does occur, we recommend that you do not use that specific product on your home.

    Q
Will ExciteR Insecticide work on pine beetles?
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is a contact kill so will only kills those you make direct contact with during application.  Bark Beetles are very hard to treat for as they get into the vein of the tree where you cannot contact them with sprays.  Due to the natural boring behavior of the beetle they are protected from topically applied insecticides and systemic insecticides (those injected into the tree or applied as a root drench) have proven ineffective for pine beetle infestations. Healthy trees can be protected before the beetles attack by topically spraying them with a synthetic pyrethroid like Permethrin SFR.  Unfortunately there is no easy solution when it comes to pine beetles. Infected trees should be cut down (before the newly hatched beetles fly out of the trees in the spring/summer) and the wood burned or chipped, while other still healthy trees should be sprayed annually to protect them.  The tree should be sprayed from the ground to 15 ft up the trunk to prevent future infestations. You should contact your local cooperative extension office to find out the best time to start spraying in your region.

    Q
Will ExciteR kill Brown Recluse spiders on contact?
    A

Yes, ExciteR Insecticide provides a contact kill while the application is still wet on the surface. Once dry, the residual is short term and will not provide a contact kill.

For treating spiders, ExciteR Insecticide is only labeled to be applied to the outside periemeter foundation up and out, around windows, doors, under the eaves of the roof.  This product is NOT labeled for indoor treatments for spider control.

Kepp in mind, since Spiders have very little body surface that actually touches the ground, eradicating a spider population is done primarily through secondary poisoning as they eat insects that have crossed areas treated with a liquid insecticide or insecticide dust or as they groom themselves picking up the active ingredient.

Please view our Brown Recluse Spider Control Products and Spider Treatment Guide for more information on a successful treatment.

    Q
Can ExciteR Insecticide be used for bed bugs and roaches?
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is a contact kill pyrethrin insecticide and once dry, does not leave a residual. ExciteR can be used alone to flush out cracks and crevices prior to applying a residual inseticide or can be tank mixed with a residual insecticide such as Temprid FX for roaches and bed bugs.

Both roaches and bedbugs require a combination of products along with repeat applications to eradicate. There is not one product or one treatment that will eliminate them. We have our Bed Bug Kits and Roach Control Kits to help customers with the best product recommendations for a successful treatment program.

Please take a moment to review our Bed Bug Treatment Guide and Roach Treatment Guide for more information on how successfully eradicate these pests.

    Q
Is ExciteR Insecticide a contact kill insecticide?
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is designed as a contact kill and is active when it is wet. Once the application is dry, there will very little residual effect, if any. Since this is a contact and flushing agent, you would use ExciteR as needed, and the best reapplication timing will depend on what pest you are treating.

    Q
Can ExciteR be applied in a thermal fogger by mixing it with Black Flag Fogging Insecticide Formula 2?
Since Black Flag Fogging Insecticide Formula 2 is applied by using a thermal fogger, I am guessing it is oil based but I cannot find that information. If it is oil based can I add ExciteR to it to make it stronger.
    A

We do not carry Black Flag Fogging Insecticide Formula 2 so cannot comment on it’s use, you would need to refer to it’s product label for information and if it can be mixed with professional grade products.  You can use Exciter in a ULV/thermal fogger as directed on the product labelExciteR Insecticide is a synergist product and can be mixed with other insecticides to provide a quick knockdown of the pest you are treating for

Is ExciteR Insecticide effective for fire ant control?
    A

ExciteR Insecticide is labeled for ants but has no residual effects so it would not be beneficial by itself. You can add Bifen IT to the mix and get a fast knockdown and a residual.

    Q
Is ExciteR Insecticide best for mosquitoes to treat inside and a patio area?
    A

Talstar is our most popular selling product for mosquito control.  It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water and apply using a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  The key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio you are trying to provide relief at.  It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants, but on the underside of the leaves as well which is where the mosquitoes hang out.  It should be applied every 30 days for optimum control.

ExciteR Insecticide is a contact kill only and does not leave a residual. This pyrtherin insecticide can be used by itself for an immediate knockdown or best when tank mixed with Talstar P for contact kill + residual.

Please take a moment to read our Mosquito Treatment Guide for more information. We also only ship within the US. Sorry for any inconvenience.
