For fleas in carpeting, we would recommend our Indoor Flea and Tick Kit, which contains CimeXa Insecticide Dust as well as NyGuard Plus Insecticide, IGR, and deodorizer. CimeXa Dust may be worked into carpeting for long-term treatment, while the NyGuard Plus should be applied as a broadcast over carpets and other flooring. Be sure to vacuum thoroughly before treatment and every day or every other day after treatment. Treatments should be repeated after 14 days. How toxic is the Indoor Flea and Tick Kit?
We have no pets, but have seen what seem to be fleas (they jump) in the bedroom and have nocturnal bites mainly on the ankles.

A

All products carry some level of toxicity but when used as directed the products in the Indoor Flea and Tick Kit are safe to use. People should be out of the area during treatment until dry. Here is a great video on how to use our Indoor Kit.

How many sq ft will 4oz bottle of CimeXa insecticide dust treat?
My treatment square footage is about 800 to 1000 sq ft.

A

Each bottle of Cimexa Dust will treat 200 square feet. Remember that only a light coating of dust is needed when applying this product.

Is Nyguard Plus safe on top of a mattress?
I have a flea issue. I brought them home from camping. I need to know if Nyguard is safe to spray on a mattress?

Why the switch from NyGuard Plus to PT Alpine in the Indoor Flea and Tick Kit?
I noticed in the comments, this kit used to include NyGuard Plus - and now it uses PT Alpine? Why? One HUGE advantage I see of NyGuard Plus is it works for 7 months - so it seems like it doesn't require as much work or reapplication as PT Alpine. Also - why not the Precor aerosols? Looking for an indoor solution primarily on CARPET and it seems these are the choices. NyGuard Plus looks to be the only one that lasts a long time though. I assume all of these aerosols can also be used on hardwood (getting between the planks) and cracks/crevices and baseboards.

The Indoor Flea and Tick Kit no longer has the NyGuard Plus in it because we do not have any stock of the NyGuard Plus. The PT Alpine is readily available and works the same as the NyGuard Plus. We didn't go with the Precor because of size and price. The PT Alpine is the closest to the NyGuard we could get. All the aerosols can be used on both carpet and hardwood but we do recommend spraying it in a nonconspicuous location first to be sure it doesn't stain.

My dog receives a monthly flea & tick treatment however, he seems to be carrying ticks into our home, and we've been finding them in our carpet. If females laid eggs, would this treatment kill the eggs as well?

Is the Indoor Flea and Tick Kit safe around cats and dogs?
I have both, which will be difficult to remove while I treat.

Indoor Flea and Tick Kit is safe for pets once dry. It's crucial that pets are not in the room while you're treating and only return once dry. We recommend maybe doing one room at a time, and putting the pets in a different room in the meantime.
