    The products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional will have a shelf life of 3-5 years if stored properly in a temperature stable environment (between 45 and 75 degrees) and out of direct sunlight.

    Can I use a fogger instead of a sprayer?
    I would be mixing all of them together, but would like to use a Ryobi fogger if it's ok. Just want to get the job done faster. Thanks!!

    If I kill a mosquito with the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional and a bird eats the mosquito, will the bird die?

    If a bird were to consume an insect killed by the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional it could potentially be harmful to the bird. It is highly unlikely since the amount of active ingredient is only large enough to kill small insects, but birds are very sensitive and there is a possibility.     Can I spray all of the items in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional on my plants?
    I live in South Florida. My yard is full of lots of trees and several of them have foliage. It would be impossible to spray without spraying the leaves or flowers. Is this safe? Will it kill my plants and flowers? If so, recommendations please.

    Mosquito Control Kit - Professional is safe to apply to all non edible plants.  Key with mosquito control is to apply to the underside of the leaves where the adults lay during the day.

    How effective is the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional using on a lawn with irrigation system?
    If my lawn is scheduled to water everyday, how long would the chemical will last?
    A

    The products in our Mosquito Control Kit - Professional should be applied when no rain is expected within 24 hours so the same applies with irrigation systems and watering.  For mosquitoes key is to apply to the underside of leaves on trees/bushes which is there the adults lay during the day, as well as shady areas.  You would not treat entire areas of the lawn that are in full sun as it is not habitable for them there.

    You can apply Bifen and Tekko once a month.  Exciter is only a knockdown product that is used when you want to kill insects out in the open during application faster and can be used once every 7 days

    Products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional will not be washed away with rain, it is just recommended to apply when rain is not expected within 24 hours of application so that the area dries.

    How much of each product in the kit.
    A
    You will use 1oz of Talstar P Professional Insecticide per gallon, 1oz of Archer IGR per gallon, and .5 of an oz ExciteR Insecticide per gallon. All 3 can be mixed in the same gallon. For Altosid Pro-G Mosquito Larvicide the coverage is, 
    *1 cup treats 2,400 sq. ft. or 9,600 gallons of water

    Is Mosquito Control Kit - Professional safe for kids to play on treated grass?
    I have a toddler that loves playing in the grass but still falls often.

    Children should not be present duing application of items in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional until the treated surfaces are completely dried. It is safe after dry.

    When should I start to treat for mosquitoes using the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional?

    You will use the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional every 30-60 days as needed during warmer weather.  Mosquito activity normally begins after temperatures start to exceed 50 degrees F.

    If you are going to be treating your own home or property, you do not need to have a license in order to buy the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional.  If you are applying for profit, then you will need a license.

    What bugs will the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional help control?
    Is it good to get rid of flies? Will it harm bees?

    The Mosquito Control Kit - Professional contains Talstar P which is labeled for over 75 different pests.  Tekko Pro and ExciteR also have a broad list of insects on the label.  Altosid is the only one specifically for mosquitoes.  The kit would also help with flies if they are in the area during treatment or contact a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dose.  The same also applies for bees though you can avoid harming them but applying late in the evening or early morning when they are less active in the area.

    What product is recommended to kill mosquitoes in bromeliad water?
    Wth the zika virus in Florida they are recommending pulling up blomeliads.

    Talstar P will kill mosquitoes including those that carry Zika and other viruses/diseases commonly carried by this pest. We do not recommend using the product near water. We do carry a product that can be applied close to water areas called Essentria IC3. We would recommend adding a larvacide such as Mosquito Beater to the areas with standing water.

    Will the mix of the Mosquito Control Kit work for gnats?

    Yes, the items inside of the Mosquito Control Kit will eliminate gnats as well. Be sure to follow the mixing ratios with respects to the labels. 

    The Altosid Larvacide is only labeled for use in sitting water to eliminate mosquitos and mosquito larvae.

    The yield in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional  will vary on the product. For example the Archer will treat up to 16k square, the Exciter will do up to 32k square feet & the Talstar will treat up to 96k square feet

    What should I use for mosquito control?
    I purchased a Stihl SR200 backpack blower/mister and I am trying to find an effective insecticide to control mosquitoes.What insecticide or combination of insecticides would you recommend?

    The Mosquito Control Kit - Professional would be a great option to use in a backpack blower. This kit contains two insecticide concentrates, an insect growth regulator (IGR), as well as a larvicide so that you can treat both land and standing water. Exciter Insecticide contains natural pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide for a quick knockdown of adult mosquitoes, while Talstar P offers residual protection on mosquito resting areas. Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator prohibits the development of immature mosquitoes, and Altosid Pro-G is a larvicide to treat standing water or areas likely to flood. Using all of these products together is the best way to control mosquito populations. Please see our Mosquito Treatment Article for more tips and information.

    I have a marsh area on one side and hay fields also close by, what is going to be best suited?

    Will this leave residue on windows or painted surfaces?
    Any real concern on using a blower/mister around the house? Looking to avoid leaving visible film/residue on surfaces.

    Items in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional should dry clear when mixed correctly. ExciteR is an oil based product so make sure to not use more than the rates advised in the kit which is .5 oz per gallon of water.
