    Q
Is it okay to mix these products with Thermidor SC (in the correct concentration?)
Is it okay to mix these products with Thermidor SC (in the correct concentration?)
    A
We don't recommend mixing Mosquito Control Kit - Professional or any other products with Termidor as Termidor has restrictions on where it can be applied and is a true non -repellent. Mixing any products with the Termidor could alter the affects that Termidor gives.

Will this leave residue on windows or painted surfaces?
Any real concern on using a blower/mister around the house? Looking to avoid leaving visible film/residue on surfaces.

Items in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional should dry clear when mixed correctly. ExciteR is an oil based product so make sure to not use more than the rates advised in the kit which is .5 oz per gallon of water.

    Q
I have 2 acres and a 30 gallon sprayer. What is best for this?
I have a marsh area on one side and hay fields also close by, what is going to be best suited?
    A
The only option we have with residual for mosquitoes/insects in hay fields would be the natural product we carry called Essentrial All Purpose

    https://www.domyown.com/essentria-all-purpose-insecticide-concentrate-p-14619.html

For standing water in the marsh areas, you may use a larvicide product such as Altosid Pro-G. Please be sure to review the product labels for more information and complete application instructions.

If you are treating outside of the hay fields, you may use the products included in our Mosquito Control Kit-Professional. We also have a very informative article on Mosquito Control here: https://www.domyown.com/how-to-get-rid-of-mosquitoes-a-493.html

    Application w 45gal boom sprayer
Does the Talstar mix ratio of 1oz to 1gal of water also when used with 45gal sprayer? Thanks
    A
Yes, since you have a 45-gallon boom sprayer, the rate for Mosquito Control Kit - Professional would be as if you are mixing it to 1 gallon. 1 oz of Talstar to 1 gallon, so you will need 45 oz total.

    Q
Is it ok to use lesco spreader sticker with mosquito pro k it and if so what rate i
The label says 2-8ounces of spread of sticker per hundred gallons, but doesn't really talk about using a mister backpack sprayer
    A
It is not required to use a surfactant with any of the products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional, but adding one may increase the effectiveness and help them stick to waxy leaves better. I do not see we carrry the lesco sticker, so we do not have a label. But if the label gives rates per 100 gallons, then divide that rate per 100. Meaning it would be .02-.08oz per 1 gallon of water.

    Q
Does it kill biting gnats also?
I have lots of biting gnats I'm my lawn. Does it kill them also or I have get something else?
    A
The products in the Mosquito Control Kit - Professional definitely will help control a wide variety of flying and crawling insect pests. Keep in mind, though, that if you live in a hot and humid area with lots of rainfall, you cannot expect to locate and adjust all the breeding sites where small insects are breeding. They are too integral a part of the environment there to expect to (or want to) kill them all.

We recommend using additional tools, such as personal insect repellent, to help deter any biting insects. Using fans where you spend time outdoors is an excellent deterrent for small flying insects in those areas as well.

    Q
Spraying/fogging backyard and tomato plants and citrus.
I'm going to use a fogger to treat my residential lot - 1/4 acre. My neighbor and I have tomato plants and small citrus trees in pots. As long as I don't spray in those areas and don't treat on a windy day, am I ok using this or should I cover them before spraying, or use different products? Also wondering if this will harm the birds that eat the berries off my holly trees.
    A
We recommend covering any edibles and treating on a non windy day avoiding those areas and when the birds are not in the area. Let us know if we can help with anything else. We appreciate your business!

    Q
Does this work on gnats, horseflies & deerflies?
Also, will it hurt hummingbirds or bees?
    A
The Talstar P Professional Insecticide , Archer IGR and ExciteR Insecticide are also labeled to treat flies. These insecticides are toxic to bees and it will kill any insects that come into contact with treated areas. You can reduce the risk to bees and birds by keeping applications away from areas where the bees are actively foraging and at times when both birdsd and bees are not active in general.
