Nothing I bought over the counter worked to permanently get rid of the carpenter ants in our oak tree. One application was enough and I haven't seen any for a month.

I first purchased the Permethrin to kill ticks in my backyard. Then I tried it along the exterior of my house for the spiders we have. It worked great for both. Kept the mosquitos away as well.

I used permethrin SFR to replace the bifen products I had been using, it has worked for me so far, very good knock down strength on every type of ant and insect I have, very happy with the results.
