    Would deer be harmed from grazing on grass sprayed with Prodiamine? Humans from eating that meat?
    We live in an area where multiple deer graze on our grass daily and hunters hunt and then eat this meat. Is Prodiamine harmful to the deer and then what is the impact on the meat that will be consumed by humans?

    I see the length of time of control for crabgrass on the label - Does this interval apply to pigweed?
    Does the time interval for the length of control of crabgrass on the label not apply to other weeds?

    The residual of Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) pre-emergent control can range from 3 to 5 months in lawns and 10 to 16 weeks in landscape beds. Split applications are recommended for longer control or to apply at a higher application rate in a single application.

    Does prodiamine prevent doveweed at all? If not, is there anything that will?

    Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is not labeled for doveweed. Pennant Magnum Herbicide & Tower Herbicide are the only two pre-emergents labeled for doveweed

    Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) can be applied to established lawns and around listed ornamentals. It should not be applied to any edible gardens or near citrus trees.

    Will Prodiamine 65 WDG control Creeping Charlie seeds? Stolens?
    The label states it is effective against Creeping Charlie, but also states it will not harm stolens of desirable grasses and ornamentals in their dormant state. Creeping Charlie spreads BOTH by seeds and resprouts from tap roots of plants gone dormant. Correct me if I am wrong - This product WILL ONLY prevent the seeds from germinating, and only for the season (time frame) indicated on the label. The seeds of most weeds are viable MUCH longer than one season.

    Applying Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) at 47 degrees
    I live in Oklahoma City where the wind is almost always above 10MPH. Today is one of those rare days that the wind speed is very light. The soil temperature is around 45-50 degrees, according to the forecasts. I see everyone recommends applying Prodiamine when temps are at least 55 degrees, but I never see if it is okay to apply when under that temp. Please clarify.

    Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) should be applied before soil temperatures are below 55 degrees which is different from air temperatures. Here is a video on how to determine your soil temperatures. You may also reach out to your local extension office for timing in your area

    Is Prodiamine 65 WDG safe for Timothy grass, but will kill crab grass and clover?
    We loved the Timothy that was growing in our side lot, so we decided to plant more. We want to kill the crab grass and clover that's also growing there, but is safe for Timothy. We have already purchased and applied the Prodiamine. :( Hopefully, this won't harm the Timothy.

    Prodiamine 65 WDG is not labeled to be used on Timothygrass nor is it labeled for pasture grazing areas where this is commonly planted. It will not kill anything already growing as it is a pre emergent that prevents weeds from emerging when applied before they germinate.

    0.36-0.83oz per 1000sq/ft… is it fluid oz or by weight?
    I'm guessing this is supposed to be measured by weight rather than fluid ounces. (Stupid confusing imperial units?)

    Yes, Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is by weight since it is a granule concentrate. You can see the equivalent measurements on product label on page 14.

    Prodiamine wdg 65 water amount
    I get the amount of water prodiamine wdg65 is mixed with doesn't matter as it is just the carrier and that the actual amount is what is important. After applying it needs to be watered in with 0.5" of rain or irrigation within 10 days. Does it matter if it rains more than the 0.5"? What if it rains say 2" Does it move to much product to deep into the soil to be as effective as it should had only 0.5" only let the product get just below the surface?

    Extremely heavy rain could potentially just wash the product away. If you are not sure about the amount of rainfall you will receive, we suggest watering in the Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) with a sprayer.

    Will this work on aggressive infestation of Kikuyugrass, Pennisetum clandestinum? How often can I apply this, as I kill off there will be seed droppings and this stuff just keeps wanting to come back so I would like to keep fighting its re-growth. I am coastal southern CA so there is no winter meaning this stuff can regrow all year round

    Mix with Simazine (Princep Liquid Herbicide)?
    Could Prodiamine be mixed with Simazine in the same tank for fall Pre E application?

    Yes, Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) and Princep Liquid Herbicide can be tank mixed provided a compatibility test has been done to ensure they are physically compatible. Follow the tank mixing instructions per the individual product labels for proper steps on Tank Mixing.

    I have a tall fescue lawn. Need to stop poa annua and crabgrass
    I read the poa annua is best stopped if sprayed twice in the fall. The table says to use no more than .36 of an ounce per 1,000sq.ft. per year. So if I do 2 apps in the Fall, and one app in the spring for crabgrass, is each application 1/3 of that .36 ounce? (.12 per 1,000sq.ft.)??
