FAQs:

What is Monterey Garden Insect Spray?
Monterey Garden Insect Spray is a new, environmentally-friendly insecticide made from naturally-occurring Spinosad. This new organic chemistry is now available for the homeowner and is a perfect replacement for some of the more traditional insecticide products. Spinosad, a byproduct of fermentation, was discovered in an abandoned rum distillery in Puerto Rico. Spinosad comes from a naturally-occurring actinomycete.

What is Monterey Garden Insect Spray used for?
To control various insects in citrus, fruit and nut trees, vegetables, lawns, and ornamentals.

What insects are controlled?
It is very effective on lepidoptera insects (caterpillars and worms). It controls leafminers, thrips, borers, colorado potato beetles, leafrollers, cornbores, sod webworms, armyworms, sawflies, gall midges, and many more.

On vegetables and fruit trees, how close to harvest can I apply?
On most vegetables, 1 day before harvest. The minimum on fruit trees is 7-14 days. Consult the label for the exact time.

How many times should I apply in one season, and at what intervals?
That depends on the level of infestation. On most vegetables and fruits, up to 6 applications can be made per season. These are spaced at 7 day intervals or more. On ornamentals and lawns, there are no restrictions.

How much do I use?
Should be applied thoroughly to the area to be treated. Spray foliage to the point of runoff.

Is Monterey Garden Insect Spray OMRI Listed?
Yes!

What about fruit trees for borer control?
It is very effective on insects that get into stone fruit. Apply at 7-day intervals throughout the infestation period.

What about fire ants?
Monterey Garden Insect Spray can be used to control fire ants as an individual mound treatment. Apply 10% around the mound and the remainder onto it. Do not disturb the mound before treatment. For best results, apply just after a recent rainfall when temperatures are between 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
