PROTECTA Mouse opens on the side, like a book, making it easy to service when the bait station is flush against a wall. Mouse entry holes line up with the wall. It locks when closed and unlocks with the PROTECTA 2-prong key. One Protecta Key is included with each order. We do sell Protecta Keys separately if you would like more than one. Protecta stations do not come with bait.
To capture mice without poison or for mouse identification, place a Mini T-Rex Mouse Trap in the bottom of the PROTECTA Mouse Bait Station. -

USE: Place station near baseboards, corners, or in spaces where rodents are likely to travel. Rodents will enter stations out of curiosity, and the presence of rodenticide baits placed inside the station. Protecta stations do not come with baits. We recommend purchasing Contrac Blox Rodenticide baits for use in the Protecta stations.

Same kind of bait stations the large exterminating companies use for mice but you fill the stations on your schedule and for a lot less! You can pick up bait at Home Depot or Lowes.

My first question is the a way of securing the Protecta Mouser bait stations so the raccoons cant drag and knock it around? It is a lot easier to secure rat sized stations than the smaller mouse sized stations. Other then drilling a hole through the station and securing it to a pole or structure using a chain, you can also use liquid nails and glue the station to a landscape paver. You could place a Mini T-Rex Mouse Trap in the station if you wanted to catch the mouse and protect non target animals and children from the trap.QWhich bait station would be sized right for Voles?AMost mouse sized bait station will allow voles to get inside.
