Product Overview

Due to biology and reproductive cycles, roach infestations typically require more than one product and more than one treatment to completely eradicate the problem.  With our Roach Control Kits, we’ve combined some of the top-rated professional-grade products on the market into one easy-to-use kit designed to combat roaches in multiple ways.

Our Roach Control Kits all include insect monitoring glue boards to trap roaches and help you monitor your infestation levels, an insect growth regulator (IGR) that acts as birth control, interrupting the reproductive cycle of roaches, a spray insecticide to treat cracks & crevices where roaches hide and travel, and a highly attractive roach bait that roaches will carry back to their nest to share with others.

Roach Control Kit Rotation A is ideal for beginning or cleanout treatments of cockroach infestations in homes, apartments, and similar areas. This kit contains the chemical products we recommend using after you have been able to inspect the treatment area and take preventative measures such as eliminating food and water sources and harborage areas. Using all these techniques together is crucial for effective roach treatment.

Roach Control Kit – Rotation A includes:

  • FUSE Cockroach Gel Bait is a highly attractive & powerful roach bait gel containing dual active ingredients, Fipronil & Abamectin, and kills roaches by ingestion, contact, and transfer from one to another. Each order will contain one plunger for easy application.
  • Gentrol Point Source Stations are a convenient and discreet way to apply the Insect Growth Regulator hydroprene, effectively interrupting roaches’ breeding and reproductive cycles.
  • Advion WDG is an insecticide concentrate with a powerful active ingredient that provides quick results and a long-lasting residual treatment.
  • Catchmaster 100i Glue Boards are a simple, discreet tool for monitoring roach activity before, during, and after treatment.

*Advion WDG must be diluted with water and applied with a pump sprayer, such as the Chapin 1 gallon pump sprayer.

If you have already used Roach Control Kit A and you still have roaches, we recommend rotating treatment with Roach Control Kit Rotation B and Roach Control Kit Rotation C.

Complete roach treatment includes two primary parts: Sanitation and Preparation, and the application of products. You will want to inspect for where roaches are hiding and breeding so that you know where to concentrate your energy. Next, prepare for treatment by eliminating food and water sources and reducing and sealing off harborage areas. After performing these crucial preparation steps, you are ready to apply the products in your Roach Control Kit.

How to Apply Roach Control Kit – Rotation A

STEP 1: Baiting - Maxforce FC Magnum Roach Bait Gel

*To use the Maxforce FC Magnum tube, remove the closed tip by gently unscrewing it, and replace it with one of the included reuseable open tips. Use the provided plastic plunger or a bait gun to dispense the gel.

*Apply small bait placements approximately ¼ inch in diameter directly to cracks and crevices where roaches are most likely to encounter it. Ideal bait placements include:

  • Behind kitchen cabinets and counter tops.

  • Behind wall hangings such as pictures, clocks, or posters
  • Behind, next to, and under the stove.
  • In the corners up under the sink and other cabinets.
  • In stored paper bags and boxes.
  • Around pipes, cords, and cables that come out of the wall.
  • Behind and under bathroom fixtures.
  • Behind the medicine cabinet and vanity.
  • In any cracks or crevices around shelves or wood
  • in corners and under railing in and on drawers.

*Do not apply bait in spots where you have used or plan to use insecticide sprays.

*Smaller, more frequent bait placements are better accepted than fewer, larger placements.

*Use up to 1.5 grams of bait (15 x 0.1gm placements) per square yard for light to moderate infestations.

*Use up to 3.0 grams of bait (30 x 0.1gm placements) per square yard for severe infestations.

*After application, replace the open tip with the closed tip to keep bait fresh, and store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children or pets.

*Reapply bait every 2-3 weeks or when placements appear to be gone.

*Roaches will die by ingesting the bait, physical contact with the bait or its residue, or from contact with roaches or feces of roaches that have consumed the bait.

STEP 2: Insect Growth Regulator - Gentrol Point Source Stations

*Do not activate Gentrol Point Source Stations until you are ready to use them. To activate a station, press firmly on the pouch located on the side of the device until you hear a snap or pop to indicate the capsule has been opened.

*Place the station in any orientation (vertical or horizontal) in areas where roach activity has been found. Ideal point source placements include:

  • In and around kitchen or bathroom cabinets.

  • Inside closets or pantries.
  • False ceilings.
  • Near refrigerators or other appliances.
  • Refuse areas.

*Each station treats up to 75 square feet for 90 days from activation. For areas larger than 75 square feet, use multiple stations.

*For convenient follow up, you can mark the month when a station has been activated with a pen directly on the station.

*For vertical placements, remove the paper backing to expose the sticky surface on the back of the station and press firmly onto a clean surface.

*The active ingredient will move from the station throughout the treatment area, so roaches do not have to come into direct contact with the station in order to pick up the active ingredient.

*Do not apply baits, sprays, or other insecticides directly onto the stations, although these may be used in the same areas.

STEP 3: SprayingAdvion WDG Insecticide

*You will need a hand pump sprayer such as a Chapin 1 gallon pump sprayer to mix and apply Advion WDG.

*Use 2 x 0.33 oz doses (2 single dose packets) per gallon of water for your first application, and 1 x 0.33 oz dose (1 single dose packet) for follow-up treatments, if needed.

*To mix Advion WDG: Add when filling spray tank with water, or fill tank 1/3 - 1/2 with water, add Advion WDG, then finish filling the tank. Shake or agitate the mixture before spraying.

*Reapply every 21 days as needed.

*If diluted spray is stored overnight, agitate before using. Only dilute what you plan to use within 24 hours of mixing.

*Apply Advion WDG mixture as a spot or crack and crevice treatment where roaches have been seen or can find shelter or entry. Application sites may include:

  • Entry points such as around doors, windows, and water pipes.

  • Areas where roaches travel such as baseboards and corners.
  • Areas where roaches hide such as behind or under refrigerators, stoves, and sinks.

*Do not apply on top of bait placements or where bait placements may be made. As a general rule, spray low, and bait high.

*Keep pets and children out of the treatment area until the spray is dry.

*Do not spray food handling surfaces or in ways in which food or utensils may be contaminated with the spray.

STEP 4: Be Patient

*Complete roach control may take from a few weeks up to six months, depending on the size of the population and your diligence with good sanitation practices. Large populations do not appear overnight, so they will not be eliminated overnight.

*Use the included Catchmaster Insect Monitor Glue Boards to track your progress:

  • Separate each card along the perforated lines to create three smaller boards from each larger card. This will create a total of 12 monitors from the 4 larger cards.

  • Fold each trap gently to create a right triangle shape. Remove the adhesive covering on the angled top tab, then firmly press the logoed panel to the adhesive, creating a secure triangle trap with three openings.
  • Carefully remove the interior paper to expose the glue surface inside the trap.
  • Place glue traps in areas where you have found roaches to hide, travel, or breed, such as in and under cabinets, behind toilets, under appliances, and in corners. If desired, remove the cover sheet on the bottom of each trap to expose the adhesive. Press firmly to a clean, dry surface to secure traps in place.
  • Monitor traps weekly to check your progress.
  • Replace traps if full of roaches, dust, or other debris.

*Reapply products according to the instructions above until the roaches are eliminated.

*For situations requiring treatments over several months, rotate your baits using our Roach Control Kit B and Roach Control Kit C.

I used this product as instructed. I have been finding dead roaches but after two weeks I still find live roaches and the traps are still getting live roaches in them. I am giving it more time as it is killing them. I will respray in two weeks

    Expert ResponseExpert response:
It can take several weeks to see the full result as the roach eggs that were laid prior to the product application are still hatching. Usually after 3 weeks most of the adults will be gone (unless the infestation was severe) and you will start seeing the immature roaches. This new generation of roaches will not be able to breed if the Gentrol in the kit was used during the initial application as they will not reach sexual maturity. It is important to reapply the bait as needed and keep the traps out to help monitor the level of infestation. Please let us know if we can help in any way. We appreciate your feedback and your business!

    Works as advertised

    By J.p. on 05/15/2016

We have tried all types and name brands of do it yourself store bought bug sprays with no luck. The rotation kit A however worked in a matter of days. Put out the bait, sprayed, and the growth inhibitor on Wednesday and by Friday the only bugs we saw were dead.

German Roach Infestation cure and Do My Own Pest Control

    By Bobby on 07/09/2016

It is always pleasant to have the experience of doing business with a company that offers, great product and outstanding service! Pleasant and Rare, I might add. Your are currently looking at one of those rare companies and if you need do it yourself pest control, well just look at the company name. You are at the right place. I have used two, "professional pesticide to homeowners" type business's before, both were good. This company has an outstanding array of products and excellent service via internet or phone. Great employees, great product, great service, need I say more. I used the roach control kit, rotation A for a family members condo, worked great wiping out about 98% of the pest with the first application. So if you need it, get it here! Great value too, do not waste your money on pest control contracts or grocery store or big box store watered down junk, worthless! Great stuff, great price! P.S. I apologize for sounding like Trump, but this company is excellent and a blessing. Highly Recommended *****

    My Preferred Roach Extermination Tactic

    By Tj on 08/13/2017

This is what has worked VERY well for me in the past on several occasions. The key to successful roach extermination is to break the life-cycle of the roach population, so they cannot breed. This kit has several useful weapons! First of all it comes with a spray that kills any roaches that come in contact with it. Second, it comes with traps which are super handy in the kitchen and bathrooms where you really don't want to see those nasty little things. Third- it comes with a gel-bait. I wish I could show you how to install that when you get it. You put little bitty dabs every foot or two where the roaches travel (like on the edges of counter tops). The roaches think that it is food and carry it back to their buddies who all suffer the consequences and wrath of the homeowner. Last, and MOST importantly- this kit includes several insect hormone growth inhibitors. I know, it's a mouthful. These things emit a pheromone into the air (not toxic to humans at all) which prevent the females from reproducing. What you'll begin to notice after using this is that the roaches will have shriveled up wings. Those are the nasty female that will no longer be able to have any baby roaches. Life-cycle broken!

Q
When to rotate roach control kit?

When using the roach control kits how often should they be rotated? Do I rotate the hole kit or just the roach bait gel?

A

After using Roach Control Kit Rotation A it would be best to then go to Kit B within 3-4 months then C if still needed. It's always a good idea to rotate roach bait with different actives/bait matrix as roaches can develop bait aversion when the same bait attractant is used over a long period of time.  Insecticides are rotated less often as it takes years of exposure to develop resistance.

Q
Can I use the Temprid spray indoors?
A
Yes, Temprid FX can be used to spray on baseboards, cracks, crevises, door frames, and window sills as long as you are following the product label instructions.

Q
Will this work on water bugs and palmetto bugs?

I have huge bugs that my friend says is a palmetto bug and my husband calls them water bugs or wood roaches. Will this kill these kinds of bugs too?

A

The products in the Roach Control Kit Rotation A are more geared towards treating the smaller roach species indoors.
Getting rid of palmetto bugs requires patience, persistence, and a combination of both chemical and non-chemical methods. Palmetto Bugs prefer to live outdoors, but will easily set up residence indoors if they can find their way inside. Exclusion is about keeping Palmetto Bugs out, or at least making it harder for them to get in.

  • Caulk and repair holes around doors, windows, water pipes, and baseboards.
  • Place mesh screens over windows, floor drains, and vents. These places serve as roach hideaways.
  • Windows and doors should fit tightly and squarely within their frames to prevent both harborage and entry from the outside

Demon WP provides excellent control when mixed in a 1-gallon or 2-gallon sprayer and applied at a low-pressure setting. In addition, you can mix in Gentrol IGR which prevents pest larvae from progressing to the pupal stage of development, so the larvae die before they become breeding adults and future infestations. Spray indoors along baseboards, especially in corners; window and door frames, on the underside of furniture, behind bookshelves, and in other problem areas as listed on the product label. With Palmetto bugs, the outer perimeter of the home or structure should also be treated. Residual sprays like these need to be reapplied every month to every 3 months, depending on the level of infestation.

For added protection, spread DeltaGard G Granules outdoors in pine straw, mulched areas, landscapes surrounding the infested structure. Deltamethrin in a new water-dispersible carrier to provide quick knockdown and lasting control of insect pests in lawns and landscaped areas.

Q
Will Rotation A cover a small kitchen and bathroom?
A

Yes, we recommend using the products in the kitchen, bathroom, and other areas of the home as directed. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article for additional tips here on a successful program.

Q
I have a cockraoch hot spot around the dishwasher that's difficult to get at. How can I I treat around it?

There are several cockroaches living around the dishwasher between the counter and the appliance. I don't see a way to successfully get Temprid or bait in the dishwasher cabinet cavity. What do you advise?

A

When using Roach Control Kit Rotation A you would apply Temprid to the baseboards, window seals, and door frames as a cracks and crevices treatment to provide residual control around the perimeter of each room. You would apply the bait on the hinges of cabinets and above countertops. If the roaches are in the kitchen and there is no other food source they will find there way to the bait. Q
Can glycerin be added or mixed with FC Magnum Roach Bait in the Roach Control Kit Rotation A to keep the bait from drying out?
A

Although the bait gel, Maxforce FC Magnum, included in the Roach Control Kit Rotation A may dry out, we do not recommend adding anything that could compromise the mode of action and efficacy of the product. It is possible for the bait to dry out but it will continue to work. We do recommend applying fresh bait every two to three weeks because, much like our food, it may become unpalatable due to the inert ingredients. Please take a few moments to review our Roach Control Guide for further tips and information.

Q
Since the Temprid solution needs to be used within 24 hrs of mixing, can you mix a smaller quantity ...

...from the single use container? And if so, are instructions provided? Or, is it better to buy something like the liquid Demon max pint and use the given reservoir?

A
It would be better to purchase the Temprid FX in the 240 ML bottle that comes with a measuring reservoir in the bottle.

Q
Is there a difference in effectiveness between using Gentrol stations vs the concentrate ...

mixed with an insecticide like Temprid or Demon Max?

A
The Gentrol Point Source and the Gentrol IGR concentrate are going to provide the same results  for roach control. The Gentrol Point Source are great for situations when spraying is not allowed and this formulation is also very convenient as there is no mixing or spraying required.

Q
Can you use the Point Source stations in a room where an air purifier is also in use?

- or would the purifier degrade the effectiveness?

A
Traditional air purifiers would not impact the vapors emitted by Gentrol Point Source, as those filter types collect dust, bugs and debris from the air.

Q
Is one kit enough for whole house 1000sqft, looking at Roach Control Kit Rotation A
A

The contents in Roach Control Kit Rotation A will provide you with enough products to do 2-3 treatments when treating at 10-14 day intervals with reapplying Temprid FX and replacing bait placements as required.   How much and how many treatments you need will depend on the level of infestation and how consistant and thorough you are being with treatments as well as proper sanitation and good housekeeping.

Please view our How to Get Rid of Roaches Treatment Guide and Where to Apply Roach Bait videos for more information.

Was this answer helpful to you?  YesNo

Q
What's the difference between Roach Control Kit Rotation A and Rotation B?
A

The only difference in the Roach Control Kits A, B & C is the roach bait gel in each kit. When treating for active roach infestations, repeat applications of Temprid FX and  replacing bait placements are required every 10-14 days until you no longer are seeing roach activity.

If still baiting after 60 days, you will need to rotate to one of the other kits to prevent bait aversion or bait avoidance. Each roach bait gel uses a different active ingredient and a different bait attractant.

Roach Control Kit Rotation A contains Maxforce Magnum Roach Bait Gel and Roach Controk Kit B contains Alpine Roach Bait Gel.

Q
Are these kits appropriate for adjoining spaces or outbuildings?

I've been reading through the various guides and products and they seem largely focused on controlling roaches inside the home. I've been getting a huge rush of roaches all around the perimeter - garage, outbuilding, and an enclosed but unconditioned "sun room". Will these products hold up under that level of heat, humidity, and in some cases direct sunlight, or are they really meant for fully-indoor spaces? I've already had an exterminator spray the perimeter (I believe they used Talstar and Tempo SC Ultra), and the dozens upon dozens of roaches I continue to see are almost always dead or nearly-dead (flipped on their backs but still moving their legs), but they still keep coming in, probably because the residual kills them very slowly. Would this kit be any improvement over that, or is there another product or treatment method I should be looking at?

A
Our kits including the Roach Control Kit Rotation A is only intended for use inside with the exception of the Temprid FX which can also be used outside as a perimeter spray around the foundation of your home as the professional as done with the others.  Though it is only recommended to apply one residual product in an area at a time so if the 2 were used that can be why you are seeing more.  Overapplying can make an area highly repellent making them avoid and agitate them making them more active, also these sprays only what contacts the area treated so they must contact it to die which yes does take time a few hours up to 24 or more.

If you have roaches coming from outside they could be nesting around the area and using a granule bait such as the Intice 10 Perimeter Bait would be good to use outside of the areas that have been sprayed so it is not contaminated by the sprays.  The only way to keep them out is to completely seal up all areas that allow them access inside areas, we also have a great general pest prevention guide that can help as well as ones for roaches depending on the type you are actually dealing with.

Q
Can you use Temprid FX from the Roach Control Kit Rotation A in sprayer to spray inside and outside?
A

Temprid FX is one of the best products to spray for roaches and other pests.  You can treat outdoors, one foot up on the foundation and one foot out on the ground. Indoors, you can spray on baseboards areas and cracks and crevices.
