    I applied Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules and after 2 hours, the yard is not completely dry. Is it safe for my pets to enter the yard if the application is still wet?

    I need to put them down in my backyard for fleas and my chickens get into my yard. I can keep them locked up for a while.

    If I apply the granules, water and then it rains for days will the granules still be effective?
    If the ground never dries because of rain, will it be safe for my senior dogs to return to the yard?

    Is this safe for pigs?
    A

    You could potentially use Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules where you have companion pigs. The animals should be out of the treatment area until the granules have been watered in and the area is dry. If you have livestock for sale, then you should not apply this product in those areas.

    The manufacturer recommends that you apply Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules early morning or late evening when temperatures are between 65-85 degrees for the best control for most insect applications.

    Can I apply with a hand spreader and once applied how quick after should we water if no rain in forcast?
    A

    Yes, it is recommended to use a ground or hand spreader for an accurate application. If there is no rain in the forecast for at least 24 hours, you may irrigate immediately after the application. Watering the Sevin granules in is what activates the granules.

    What is the maximum pounds per year for Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules on a Bermuda grass lawn.

    The max rate for Sevin Lawn Insecticide Granules is 1lb-4lbs per 1,000 sq ft and repeat application can be applied as necessary but no more than once per 7 days. Per the product label, do not exceed 4 lb per 1,000 ft per application.
