The Taltar Xtra label does not specifically list settings for the Ryobi 18v, but it does list the Scotts SpeedyGreen 2000 and its spreader settings. If this is what you meant, or those two spreaders are compatible with settings, you can use setting 2 3/4 for putting out 1.15 lbs per 1000 sq/ft, 5 1/4 for 2.3lbs per 1000 sq/ft, or 9 for putting out 4.6 lbs per 1000 sq/ft. Otherwise, if your settings do not match up, you would want to calibrate your spreader for the product. Here are instructions on how to calibrate your spreader.
How to calibrate your spreader:
Almost all fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, etc have treatments in amounts of so much product per 1000 square feet. So if you can figure out what your walking speed is then you know anytime you apply any product that calls for so much of it per 1000 square feet, you always set your spreader on this setting. You can calibrate this by marking off a 1000 square foot (10 x 100) area and placing the required amount of product in pounds in the spreader. Start with a low setting and start walking your marked off area at a normal pace. You can adjust as you go and find the basic setting for you to apply the product over 1000 square feet.

Unfortunately, we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo, and since the manufacturer does not list that spreader on their bag we are unsure what the exact setting would be. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, there isn't a master list that exists. You may want to try calling the manufacturer of your spreader or the chemical itself directly, to see if anyone on their staff has that info. Otherwise, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates.
Take a moment to view our How to Calibrate your Spreader Video for a short demonstration on how to do this.

Talstar XTRA Granular Insecticide will get rid of most ant species except for Pharoah ants.
Leaf cutter ants can be a difficult pest to get rid of. The colonies are large and the ants make their own food so poison baits only have limited effects on this species of ants. Plants can be protected temporarily using dust or granular formulations of contact insecticides, like acephate, carbaryl or permethrin. but such treatments must be reapplied frequently. Also, plant applications do little to eliminate the underground nest.According to several university websites, Maxforce Complete Granules containing hydramethlynon are some what effective, though they will usually eliminate only about 30% of a large colony in one treatment and will need to be reapplied several times. DeltaGard granules is one of the only products actually labeled for leaf cutter ants. The product label recommends treating the mound directly and lightly watering the granules in.
Again, it may take several treatments to get the desired results. Since Leafcutter Ant nests may extend deep underground and are often located near bodies of water, call your local cooperative extension office for their recommendations before using any insecticide spray.
