Superior product when it comes to Fire Ants , Fleas and Roaches . I spread over my yard and my Mothers yard on Lake Murray and within 2 days Ants were gone or dead ,fleas gone or dead , roaches gone or dead . It works fast and they stay out of yard / house for a minimum of 3 to 4 months before I see any return . I retreat the area and they are gone again !

Great stuff. Expensive to use every 3 or 4 months for getting everything under control. (This was suggested to me by a lawn care pro to build uo a certain level in the lawn) It seems to have done the trick. Thank you kindly..

Use this product about every 6 months (depends on rain fall amount). Rids my yard and flower beds of all ants especially those pesky fire ant......

I highly recommend this product for killing ants. It was expensive. It's hard to state in instructions how much poison to sprinkle on ant mound because you don't know the size of the mound.

Talstar is an absolutely wonderful product. We have been using it the past three years. It has helped with gnats, spiders, wasps, and most importantly stink bugs.

Great product. Had my home exterminated last year and the exterminator used this product. Awesome results. Also, had a chance to use this product around our deer camp and the results were unbelievable. Haven't found it in stores yet but it is truly a great buy.

Bought this to control red ant mounds and was very pleased with the results. Within 15 minutes of application the mound was completely inactive and has not returned in 3 wks.

Been using these products for about ten years now. I have ZERO bugs, and it takes me less than 30 minutes for application. You're throwing your money away hiring a "pro". I'm now the pro.

We were excited to try this product but we were disappointed with its effectiveness. Ants are tough, though. Maybe we can find another product on this site!

I'm always a little skeptical about product performance promises. This product works and works well. I applied 2 1/2 months ago and still working. Getting ready to apply again since carpenter ants will be active in the next few weeks, the flyers that is. Not sure what I should use next year since they say that pests can develop a resistance if one particular product is used to frequently.

Since I have about three acres to do battle with fire ants, carrying a sprayer around takes its toll on this old man. So I wanted a quick killer. The Talstar XTRA Granules fill the bill for doing battle with the mounds to small hills. Remember to water in the granules; I like to put it down just before rain.

This product seems to control every insect on the planet except grub worms which is whats eating up my grass. They're the number one pest in my area of Florida that destroys St. Augustine. So next time I'll skip this product and use a systematic approach.

Have used Talstar in the past for fire ants. My wife is deathly allergic to them. it works great as a broadcast and keeps them at bay. I placed my order on a Tuesday and received it on the following Thursday.. Great product, reasonable price and quick service..

I have been buying this product for years and Iam always satisfied with it. I live in Florida and it totally does a number on the insects that are over taking my front lawn.

Have been using this product for several years now. Had issue with grubs, mole crickets and some ants. Put it down and all are gone. We all need to have reasonable expectations. It does not last for ever. Need to reapply. I do it twice, in the spring and fall. Problems are no longer.

Talstar Xtra granules were purchased based on these many reviews & to squash a fire ant problem in our backyard. I despise those suckers & we bought a new house with a decent yard, but ants abound. I want my kids to be able to enjoy their backyard & Talstar with the Xtra addition sounded like it was the solution. The transaction was seamless--Do My Own did not disappoint there. But this product surely did. Just days after receiving the bag, I followed the instructions to a t & during morning hours I treated the whole yard with a broadcast application using a Scott's spreader. Followed with a perimeter application & then fire ant mound application on a couple of mounds spotted while doing the broadcast app. The product seemed to work on the above ground mounds only. Treated the perimeter, all along my concrete backyard patio more than once & watered those granules well. Bugs of all kinds were "running for the hills" & scrambling everywhere. But still seeing ants all over the edge of the patio & they are coming from areas that were treated & even retreated after a few days. Have seen the ants traveling through the grass there & it's been over a week since the initial application. Now it is peak summertime & they likely are well into the ground in underground colonies. But they are active during morning hours & that's when we still see them everywhere. No new visible mounds though yet. That's why I'm giving it 2 stars. Disappointed I wasted my money & time on this product. Not as effective as the advertising leads you to believe--at least not in my case. I will head to my local feed store to speak to someone for advice. But this Talstar Xtra is $$$ & not the answer for fire ants.
