Have used Talstar in the past for fire ants. My wife is deathly allergic to them. it works great as a broadcast and keeps them at bay. I placed my order on a Tuesday and received it on the following Thursday.. Great product, reasonable price and quick service..

I was impressed by how fast the products arrived. I have used talstar before, and will continue to purchase it as it is an effective pesticide.

I have been buying this product for years and Iam always satisfied with it. I live in Florida and it totally does a number on the insects that are over taking my front lawn.

Have been using this product for several years now. Had issue with grubs, mole crickets and some ants. Put it down and all are gone. We all need to have reasonable expectations. It does not last for ever. Need to reapply. I do it twice, in the spring and fall. Problems are no longer.

Talstar Xtra granules were purchased based on these many reviews & to squash a fire ant problem in our backyard. I despise those suckers & we bought a new house with a decent yard, but ants abound. I want my kids to be able to enjoy their backyard & Talstar with the Xtra addition sounded like it was the solution. The transaction was seamless--Do My Own did not disappoint there. But this product surely did. Just days after receiving the bag, I followed the instructions to a t & during morning hours I treated the whole yard with a broadcast application using a Scott's spreader. Followed with a perimeter application & then fire ant mound application on a couple of mounds spotted while doing the broadcast app. The product seemed to work on the above ground mounds only. Treated the perimeter, all along my concrete backyard patio more than once & watered those granules well. Bugs of all kinds were "running for the hills" & scrambling everywhere. But still seeing ants all over the edge of the patio & they are coming from areas that were treated & even retreated after a few days. Have seen the ants traveling through the grass there & it's been over a week since the initial application. Now it is peak summertime & they likely are well into the ground in underground colonies. But they are active during morning hours & that's when we still see them everywhere. No new visible mounds though yet. That's why I'm giving it 2 stars. Disappointed I wasted my money & time on this product. Not as effective as the advertising leads you to believe--at least not in my case. I will head to my local feed store to speak to someone for advice. But this Talstar Xtra is $$$ & not the answer for fire ants.

I have used several other brands to help control fire ants which are prevelant in my yard, especially when it rains and nests appear on the ground surface. I have found that this product is the most effective in combatting this problem. The recommended amount for effectively treating the ant hills are small in comparison to other products. It was recommended to me by my pest control service.

At first I was concerned this item wouldn't work as good as the liquid Talstar p but in fact I think it works even better the population of crickets and insects has decreased dramatically. I still use the liquid in between applications.

The deliver was on time. This product worked for me but it is expensive.

Please note - my rating is based on still have way too many ants hills in our yard. It could be our lawn and not the product. I am going to try something else and see if another product works. I have always purchased from DoMyOwn and never dissatisfied with any products.

Used granules and next day, it rained. Every pile was completely dead. Wonderful product.

I followed the directions of the Talstar exactly and found that it did not have optimal results. Fire ant mounds continued to pop up all throughout my property for weeks after treatment. I finally had to go back and use Demand CS to kill them all individually. It did a good job on crickets though.

I used Talstar on Church ground of 12 Ac and and school for ant control, and it work great. I do believe in talstar

This talstar product does eliminate all bad bugs-3x yearly application + fire ants down for the count & invasion from other neighbors yards. Have used other talstar granulars but this solves even tough fire ants here in coastal north carolina.

I've been using this product for 2 years, and it does the trick in the Midwest on chinch bugs. I often apply it once in May (for the larvae) and again in early July for the adults. What an amazing difference! We've been hit hard with the rain here early this summer, but once it dries out and gets warm, these little buggers come out and damage the lawns. I would definitely recommend that you try out this product...it's definitely worth every dollar.

This product does not work on ants, and should not be advertised for ants. I spread heavy as per the instructions, then watered in as per the instructions. Every day that went by, i thought the ants would stop. No difference what-so-ever. Very disappointed with the product, and the customer service agent that told me this is what i need.

Talstar in either form is all you need for ant control. A little bit of it and you can see a color change in the bed.

We live in a gated FL community under a HOA and I have been using this and other products for insect control in and around my home for a number of years and avoid paying $300 or more annually for a pest control company. Neighbors ask me who my pest control person is because they seem to have problems which I don't have. When I tell them that I am my own pest control, they are astounded. Love the products and the assistance whenever I have a question & call.

First use of this product. Applied during optimal conditions and watered in. The ants went marching so I need to do some chase work. Now we will test durability. Practically a dust free broadcast, Very Nice.

Seemed to kill the fire ants in my yard for about a week but they came back with vengeance about a week later not worth the expense of broadcasting the entire yard I will go back to spot treatment with a less expensive product
