You will want to treat the soil with Taurus SC in the trench as directed. It will only bind to the soil and no other material for termite barriers around the foundation.
When trenching with Taurus SC, you will need to dig a 6" x 6" trench around the outside foundation wall of the home. Next, mix 0.8 fl. oz. of Taurus SC per gallon of water and apply at a rate of 4 mixed gallons per every 10 lineal feet of trench. Allow the solution to soak into the soil and then replace the back-fill, making sure that the back-fill is soaked with Taurus SC as well. Treating across slabs of concrete touching the house (such as a back patio or front porch) can be accomplished by using a hammer drill with a 1/2-inch drill bit. Holes are drilled through the concrete approximately 3-4 inches out from the house and every 12 inches across the concrete slab. Additionally, all piers and supports in the crawl space need to be trenched around, including any points where support for the home contacts the soil. If the piers are hollow blocks you also have to drill a hole in each pier to treat the inside space where termites could potentially travel up without hitting the treated soil around the pier. The interior crawl space wall will need to be trenched as well when treating an active infestation. Bora-Care can also be applied to unfinished wood for both termite prevention and to protect wood from active infestations with the active infestations use rate being 1:1.
If using Taurus SC Termiticide for Subterranean Termite trench applications, you must dig a 6 in x 6 in trench direclty against the foundation of the home per the product label. If there are landscape stones, gravel, barriers, etc that are in the path of the trench and these are not able to be removed to dig a continuous trench, we would recommend digging the trench up to the stone in your case and then continue on the other side. Pour the 4 gallons of mixed solution (3.2 fl oz Taurus SC with 4 gallons of water) every 10 linear feet and if able, uses a steel rod to prob under the stone as best as you can on both sides so the mixed solution can leach under the stone.
If using Taurus SC Termiticide for exterior perimeter treatment of carpenter ants, roaches, spiders, etc, mix 0.8fl oz per gallon of water. Spray 1ft up and 1ft out from the foundation, around windows, doors, under the eaves of the roof, etc. Do not spray landcape beds, ornamentals, bushes, shrubs, etc.
Taurus SC is not labeled to be sprayed on your yard or around trees and can cause environmental damage if used in this off-label way.
Taurus will last a few weeks if sprayed topically on the soil around a structure. If you do a trenching treatment in the soil it can last up to 10 years. Please see the product label instructions for more information
Taurus SC Termiticide is labeled to control Australian, Oriental, and Smoky Brown cockroaches outside against the foundation only. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions. If you are treating for Subterranean termites, for best results, you would actually be able to trench around the inside perimeter of the crawl space. Yes, you can spray as long as you are following the instructions on the product label for general pests, but for subterranean termites specifically, they come from the ground usually within the top 6 inches of soil. Unfortunately, Taurus SC Termiticide is not labeled to be used for yellow jacket bait. You can use Onslaught Insecticide with bait in traps for yellow jacket control, per the product label, you must follow the instructions on the traps you are using.
Yes you can apply Taurus SC Termiticide if you are treating the windows and doors from outdoors. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
Unfortunately, we cannot advise using any insecticides in a way the could potentially contaminate the swimming pool. Mostly because it could potentially be unsafe, but also because the products would not be effective if they are constantly wet or washed away from the pool water.
Taurus SC can be use outside around the foundation of homes/structures sprayed 1-2 feet up and out on the ground applied 2 - 4 times per year, and several baits and bait stations is what we would recommend. The Ants No More Bait Stations would be great to use around the pool area or landscaped areas because it protects the bait from water and weather while allowing you to use baits where you may have bad problems. These bait stations have 2 compartments so that you can use both a sweet gel/liquid (Maxforce Quantum) and a granule (Maxforce Complete) bait at the same time.

Taurus SC Termiticide should be applied in a trench around the pads and any other foundation where the soil touches.
Taurus SC Termiticide does not have labeling for use on gravel driveways, sidewalks or around trees. It is only to be used around the foundation of a structure. As an alternative you could use Dominion 2L around your trees.
Taurus SC Termiticide cannot be used indoors at all. It is an exterior use product up against the exterior foundation for termites (in the soil) and topically for ants etc. We recommend PT Alpine Flea and Bedbug Aerosol for inside for flea eradications along with vacuuming daily (discarding bag/empty canister outside away from home). You want two applications two weeks apart minimum for flea treatments. You will spray once every two weeks after until the fleas are fully eradicated. Taurus SC Termiticide is not labeled for mosquitoes and cannot be used out in the yard or on plants where you need to treat for mosquitoes so would not be tank mixed with Talstar P.
Yes, Taurus SC can be used to control ants outdoors. Be sure to follow the application instructions on the product label.
Taurus SC can only be applied within one foot of a structure and cannot be broadcast, so it is not the best choice for treating grubs or any insects that moles might be feeding on. A better choice would be something like Dominion 2L.
Taurus SC Termiticide should NOT be applied to trees, lawns, etc. It is strictly labeled for applications against the structure topically for crawling insects and in the soil for termite treatments. We normally recommend using soemthing like Bifen IT to treat for pests such as webworms.
Taurus SC Termiticide should be applied when you are not expecting any rainfall for at least 24hrs following the application. It should not be applied within 15 feet of bodies of water per the product label.
Taurus SC Termiticide cannot be used to just spray woods for termites and there really isn’t much you can do for them there. They are natures recyclers so should be left alone in that area.
