    Q
    Does this dry clear?
    A

Termidor SC should not stain surfaces that water itself wouldn't stain. If the surface is very old, you should test in an inconspicuous area to be sure no staining will occur.

    Q
What's the issue with applying past expansion boards?
Applying to the perimeter and in the garage. The expansion joint between the garage slab and the house foundation allows fluid to enter. Can I just pour Termidor into the crack? As opposed to drilling through the slab and then pouring?
    A

The product label says that drilling the slab inside the garage if more effective.  This is because the garage is a separately poured slab, meaning the termites could come from deep underground and come up to the surface under the garage slab, and enter the wall where your door is going into the ho…

    Q
Boracare in crawlspace or attic or both?
I have a quote for someone to spray Boracare on the underside of my house after we treated for drywood termites that were found under my house. I also have hundreds of wings up in my attic. Should I also have them spray my attic. It's $1,000 for each.
    A

Termidor SC can only be applied to the foundation of your home and in crawl spaces. Bora-Care can be sprayed in both the attic and crawl space but only to raw wood.

    Q
Is is safe to spray Termidor SC on the soil under a raised foundation house for ant infestations?
My house has a raised foundation. We are suspecting that we may have some ant colonies living in the soil under the house and are wondering if it's safe to crawl under the house and treat the soil there with Termidor SC.
    A

You can spray Termidor SC around the foundation 1-2 feet up and out on the ground for ant control where you see the ants trailing. This product offers a transfer effect, so as long as some of the ants come into contact with the product, they will transfer the effects of the product throughout the …

    Q
What is the max distance away from foundation can you dig the trench?
I have a landscape bed around my house. It is approximately 3' in width and more in some areas.
    A

You need to dig your trench right up next to your foundation.  You need to treat with Termidor SC all of the soil around your foundation because that is how the termites will gain access to your home.

    Q
Spring application of Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide
I am currently battling carpenter ants that gained access during construction. I believe my spray of termidor sc five days ago is working but I’m wanting to plan ahead for spraying in the spring. My state of residence is in NJ. When would be the best time in the spring 2025 to put down the first application of the year for this product?
    A

We do not have a specific time for the application of Termidor SC in your area but usually you start applying when temperatures start to warm up around March. If you would like to know a better time frame you should contact your local extension office.

Should I treat with Boracare or Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide?
Repairing a deck and see some termite damage on the unpainted wood. I want it to kill and prevent any future termite damage for years.
    A

Bora-Care is a wood treatment product that can be used as directed for the unpainted wood. I have a concrete slab in my back yard how do I apply it where there’s no dirt

You want to apply the product right up against the foundation, and if there is concrete butted up against the foundation then you will need to drill holes to apply the product.  Here is our guide on termites for more useful information.

    Q
    Termidor HE vs Termidor SC
What is the difference between Termidor HE vs Termidor SC? I know the HE stands for High Efficiency, but other than that, I'm unsure. I live in AZ and I've heard Termidor HE is the best, however, you don't sell the Termidor HE only the SC. I want to buy the best product to take care of the termites. Can someone please help me understand the difference between the HE and the SC?
    A

We do not sell the HE so we cannot advise too much on this product, but based on a general search it is the same active ingredient as the Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide the only difference is the HE is formulated to reduce time and labor by at least 50% per treatment, with reduced application v…

    Q
    Taurus SC Application
I added an inch of fresh topsoil around a portion of my slab and already had Termidor SC application professionally done recently. What is the best practice and method to re-apply? Should I re-trench or soak top soil layer of fresh mud?
    A

If the original trenching treatment has not been disturbed, and only new soil has been applied to the top, you can go through and thoroughly wet the new soil with Taurus SC or Termidor SC solution to create a complete barrier around the structure.
