How frequently can I use Termidor SC?
When applying one foot up on the foundation and one foot out on the soil for outdoor insect control (not termites), what is the frequency of application/ how often?
    A

You can use Termidor SC twice a year at a rate of 0.8 oz (0.06% finished solution) per gallon of water or up to 4 times a year at a rate of 0.4 oz (0.03% finished solution) per gallon of water. If you decide to use it twice a year, you can apply it on a window of 4-6 months. If you decide to use it …

    Q
Do I have to apply Termidor SC under house or just around outside perimeter?
If I have termites under house, will applying on outside also kill the active termites that may be on the inside of foundation as well as in walls. My house is a 24x76, so how much treatment would I need? Does Termidor SC come in larger quantity?
    A

Termidor SC does come in a 78oz bottle for licensed applicators. If you can get inside of the foundation through for example a crawlspace Termidor SC should be applied in a trench like around the outside perimeter. One 20oz bottle treats 60 linear feet of trenching.

    Q
How long does it take for Termidor SC to dry?
Like when u have under your house sprayed with termidor
    A

Termidor SC is a water based product and it will dry in the same amount of time as it would take water to dry. If Termidor SC is applied under your home it can take several hours to dry because the ventilation is usually poor and the sun cannot reach the area.

    Q
    Will Termidor SC kill wasps?
I have a pesky wasp that just started flying around my kids wooden swing set. Will it damage the wood or leave a residue that can hurt my kids?
    A

Yes, Termidor SC will kill wasps and it is labeled for wasps. However, Termidor SC is also labeled to only be used on a structure or immediately around the foundation of a structure. So, while it will not damage or harm the wood of the swing set it is not labeled to be used there. You can use a…

    Q
Can Termidor be applied to trees?
Can Termidor be applied to the base of trees and knot holes that have formed from prior pruning that contain evidence of carpenter ant activity?
    A

Unfortunately we can only recommend what is allowed on the product label.  Termidor is only labeled to be applied around the foundation of the house and is not supposed to be applied farther away from the foundation than 1 foot.  That being said, Termidor is not harmful to trees or plants.…

    Q
How well does Termidor SC work with brown recluse spiders?
We purchased a 100 year old home and there is a major infestation of brown recluse. Any help would be appreciated.
    A

Termidor SC is labeled for brown recluse spiders but you would only be able to use the product outside.  Termidor SC does not have an immediate knockdown but instead uses a delayed reaction kill which makes it especially effective for social insects like ants, termites and certain species of …

    Q
It rained right after we applied Termidor, do we need to re-do the application?
We dug a trench and applied Termidor around the perimeter of our above ground pool. It unexpectedly rained about 6 hours later. The rain was a light, but continuous. Do we need to re dig the trench and do it again?
    A

You should not have to re-dig and apply the Termidor if it was a light rain, even if it was continuous.  As long as you covered the trench back up after the application and it had a few hours to set you should be fine.  If the trench was not re-covered and it was left open, then it would b…

    Q
What do you have that is safe to spray on the outside walls of a house for ants?
I have little ants that are climbing and entering the outside walls of my house. I know I can use the sprays on the foundation. Is there something I can put on the stained wood?
    A

We recommend using a water based insecticide such as Termidor SC. Termidor is the # 1 choice for ant control around the outside of your home. (Termidor SC is for outside use only.) Termidor is a non-repellent insecticide that also has a transfer effect. That means that ants cannot tell that the T…

    Q
Will Termidor SC kill fire ants?
    A

If you spray a good barrier around the foundation of the home with Termidor it will technically control any species of ant that would crawl across it. • Asked by Hayes from Monroe, Ga
    08/20/2013
    Q
What size hole should I drill in the concrete slab adjacent to foundation to apply Termidor SC?
I need to treat a concrete patio and walkway adjacent to the slab of the house. If I drill a hole each foot, how much liquid will I put in each hole? What kind of funnel do I use?
    A

The hole needs to be 1/2 inch. You can use funnels found at a local discount store to apply the Termidor SC into the holes. You should drill a hole every 10-12 inches apart and disperse 4 gallons of solution evenly every 10 feet.

  • Asked by Steve from Austin, Texas
    10/04/2013
    Q
I am a homeowner in Texas. Is it legal for me to buy and apply Termidor around my home? Thanks, Steve
The label on the 20 oz bottle says "For sale to, use and storage only by individuals/firms licensed or registered by the state to apply termitcide and/or general pest control products." product? I just want to be sure. Thanks, Steve
    A

Some product labels do say for licensed pest professional use only but that is just the manufacturers wording and it is not law. The manufacturer would like to limit the purchase of the product to Pro's only because of course they will make more money on the products if they can only be sold to …

How many bottles of Termidor SC do I need to treat my house?
Hi, I have 1550 sq ft house. I want to use a .09 solution. Approximately how many bottles of the termidor SC 20 oz bottle do I need? Thanks
    A

You must find out how many lineal feet you have around the outside or your home. Unfortunately, the square footage just will not tell us how much you really have to treat. To find how many lineal you have, measure around the front, back and each side of your home. Add up the measurements and no…

I live in Southern California, my home has drywood termite. What is the dose I should use to kill drywood termite in attic?

Termidor SC can be shipped to California but it cannot be used for indoor applications. How do you apply Termidor SC on a brick house; do I drill holes in the brick?

We would need more information as to how your home is constructed to know where you may think you need to drill on your brick of your home. Termidor SC and Timbor are used for two different purposes. Termidor SC is generally a ground treatment, while Timbor is used to treat wood directly. Mixing two insecticides together could potentially cause a resistance with pests. It would basically be like doubling up on a product, and that is unn…
