Rat got loose in under a minute

I put the trap down in the rat's path. Within 10 minutes one of them got stuck. Before I was able to do anything, the rat flipped the tray upside down and got loose.

You need to place traps on their travel path and use a bait like nuts, canned tuna, or peanut butter. It could be a couple of days or sometimes weeks before you eliminate them so please be patient.
