Once the Alpine WSG has been applied and has completely dried, it will not reconstitute if it gets wet again. Alpine WSG has residual activity of 30 to 60 days for most applications. Now if you are mopping up in areas where you had applied your product, then you would have just removed any residual that was there. We usually recommend mopping your floors first, and then applying the product so that you will have the lasting residual.
The best way to dispose of leftover mixed Alpine WSG is to pour along the foundation of the home outside.
Alpine WSG is applied at 10 grams per gallon of water per 1000 sq ft for fleas.
Alpine WSG Insecticide is not labeled to control carpenter bees, so we would recommend using a different product rather than mixing the Alpine with another product. If you are looking for a combination product that includes a non-repellent for control of carpenter bees, then Temprid FX would be a great option. We also have insecticide spray and dust included in our Carpenter Bee Control Kit.
Alpine WSG is toxic to aquatic invertebrates. All fish tanks should be tightly covered prior to the application. You may want to contact the company that did the application and inquire if the tank might have been sprayed inadvertently.
Yes, Alpine WSG is labeled to treat for springtails. Be sure to also address any moisture issues around the structure and pull and mulch or pine straw away from the foundation prior to applciation.
You could use Alpine WSG as a perimeter spray outside around the building and as a spot spray inside when the business is closed and customers are not in the area. Alpine WSG has residual acitivity of 30 to 60 days for most applications.
Alpine WSG is labeled for wasps but not for hornets. We suggest using our Wasp and Hornet Control Kit.
Normal cleaning practices in your home are fine after applying Alpine WSG however we recommend refraining from directly applying cleaning products to the treated areas as the residual could be removed. If treating for German Roaches, repeat applications of Alpine WSG should be reapplied every 14 days as well as replacing roach bait placements. Also, if you are not also using an insect growth regulator to interupt the reproduction cycle, this is recommended especially for German Roaches.
Please view our Roach Control Kits and our How to Get Rid of Roaches Treatment Guide for more information on a successful treatment program.
Alpine WSG is used at 10 g per gallon of water and applied with a spray as directed. It cannot be fogged.
Yes, you are able to mix only ½ a packet of Alpine WSG with a half gallon of water if only needing a smaller amount of mixed solution. Please make sure you close the remaining product in the packet securely and keep stored in an airtight ziplock bag or container until the next treatment.
When applying insecticides such as Alpine WSG, the knockdown rate will be depend on how long the insect stayed on a treated surface and the age and health of the insects. In most cases, you can expect death in 24-72 hours. Please review our How to Get Rid of Roach Treatment Guide for steps on a successful treatment program.
Food that was out on the counter and exposed to the application of Alpine WSG should be discarded.
Alpine WSG cannot be used in any type of fogging equipment. Actisol units are not foggers though, they just apply products like an aerosol application and since the Alpine WSG dissolves completely you can use in the machine.
Per the manufacturer:
Alpine can be delivered using an Actisol machine. However, we would recommend the user pre mix the solution in a 1 gallon container and not in the Actisol tank.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
Thoroughly clean spray equipment before mixing and application of this product. Add approximately 1/2 of the water to the 1 gallon container. Tear open the packet and add contents to water, then complete the filling of the spray tank. Agitate the solution until the product is completely dissolved. Reagitate finished dilution if application is interrupted for an extended period of time or if dilution is left in tank overnight.
DO NOT LEAVE UNUSED FORMULATION IN THE ACTISOL TANK FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
BACKFLUSH THE HOSE AND WAND AFTER EACH USE AND RETURN UNUSED FORMULATION THE MIXING CONTAINER. (Instructions can be found in the operations manual for the Actisol machine)
REAGITATE FORMULATION BEFORE EVERY USE.
DO NOT FILL MORE THAN 20-24 oz. OF FORMULATION TO THE ACTISOL TANK.
You could use either Alpine WSG or Tandem Insecticide as a perimeter spray outside around the building and as a spot spray inside when the business is closed and customers are not in the area. We would also recommend using a sweet ant bait such as Advion Ant Bait Gel or Maxforce Quantum Ant Bait in the cracks and crevices where you are seeing ant trails. Baits have food attractants and get carried throughout the ant colony. Be sure to practice good sanitation to remove any food crumbs or scraps from around the booths to prevent future infestations, as well.
The shelf life of Alpine WSG is 3-5 years from the date of purchase if stored at room temperature.
Exciter is meant to be added to insecticides to only give a faster initial knockdown and would not be good as a flushing agent with Alpine WSG which is a non-repellent insecticide. Mixing something that is considered repellent with a non repellent would null this aspect of the product until it's residual was gone.
We recommend that only the applicator is present during the application of Alpine WSG. Once the surfaces treated are completely dried it is safe to return. You will want to make sure that is ventilated as much as possible and return about 2-4 hours later.
You can find a diagram here that shows where to apply Alpine WSG. It is recommended to use a 1-gallon pump sprater to apply this product.
