    Fast results on dollar spot

    By Jon on 08/23/2011

    Verified Purchase

For the last 2 or 3 years, here in southern MI, we have had unusually cool and wet spring weather...perfect conditions for dollar spot fungus outbreak. Using 8 oz. of docket mixed with 24 oz. water, I treat approx. 7500 sq.ft. using a hose end sprayer set to deliver 3 oz. of mix per gal. of spray for a curative application. I follow up 7 to 10 days later with a preventative application using the same ratio of docket and water with the sprayer set to deliver 1 1/2 oz. per gal. to cover 15000 sq. ft. The follow up application seems to be key.

Thank you for your comments! Please keep in mind that Docket DF and other chlorothalonil products should not be used on Blue Spruce due to bleaching that it causes.

    Daconil Fungicide

    By Jean on 05/21/2012

Delivery of the Daconil was a week, as promised. When I didn't know what dosage to use (because the professional dosages were TOO large), the mfg. co. answered my question beautifully. Good product and advice!

    Generic Daconil

    By Bernie on 05/17/2012

Best buy for Chloro - I use as curative for Brown Patch when I don't catch it soon enough with the preventive. Good quantity for small users wanting a good price on concentrate. Service from DMOPC is stellar.

Q
Can I use Docket DF - Generic Daconil Fungicide on a Weeping Willow tree?

The tree has spots, leaves turning yellow and falling off

A

Docket DF - Generic Daconil Fungicide is not labeled to be used on Weeping Willow trees. We would recommend a product like Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide that is labeled for use on Willow trees. We would also recommend having the tree examined first by a trained arborist. The arborist will be able to tell you what type of disease/fungus the tree has and whether or not it can be saved.

Q
Can Docket DF - Generic Daconil Fungicide be used for Dothistroma Needle Blight?

Was told my Austrian pine has Dothistroma Needel Blight and was wondering if I can use Docket DF to treat this - if so please let me know what of year to begin doing this and if not the right treatment, what product do you carry that would address this?

A

Docket DF - Generic Daconil Fungicide is not labeled for Dothistroma Needle Blight so we cannot recommend it for this use. This disease is also not common this time of year so we would recommend making sure the disease has been correctly identified. It does appear that copper fungicides can be used as a preventative.  There is a great guide by University of Kentucky here that can help.

A

It is also for use in golf courses, on lawns around commercial (nonresidential) and industrial buildings, and on professional and collegiate athletic fields. We are only a retail distributor, we do not manufacturer any products. We would recommend contacting the manufacturer Syngenta at 1-866-796-4368.

Q
For Spruce mix when apply Docket DF, can I use the Daconil Ultrex label, which is an identical product concentration of chlorothalonil 82.5%?
A

These products are not labeled for applications to treat spruces in residential areas.  The only product that we do carry that does not say it cannot be used on blue spruce for needlecast is the Clearys Spectro.  Please be aware that just because it the product can still bleach the trees which is the problem with most products when using on blue spruce.

Q
Can I use Docket DF on evergreen and pine trees?

don't know type of problem, bug or fungus, but arborist suggest systemic spray around all trees

A

Yes, Docket DF can be used on evergreen and pine trees. This product is just a fungicide so it will not kill pests, just the types of fungus listed on the label. We would recommend finding out what disease you are treating for so that we can assist with the specific ratio that should be used per tree.
