Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait previously known as Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait is for use with popular ant bait stations such as Ant Cafe. This liquid ant bait uses a sweet honeydew attractant that will attract all types of ants that will take the bait back to the colony to be fed to the queen and the other ants. The result is ant colony elimination and is another reason why using Gourmet liquid ant bait is a great choice for ant control. Liquid ant bait can be used inside as well as outdoors in proper ant bait stations as listed above.

Greet Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait contains a complex mixture of attractants that mimics honeydew, the largest source of nutrients for an ant colony. The sweet honeydew attractant in Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait draws insects to forage. Once ingested, the active ingredient DOT (Disodium Octabrate Tetrahydrate) begins a slow attack on the ants’ central nervous system that allows them to return to their nests after consuming the bait to pass along the DOT poisoning to their young and to the queen. When other food sources are removed, ants will continue feeding on Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait until they die.
Borates such as DOT have extremely low mammalian toxicity, and insects have shown no ability to develop resistance. The delayed action of DOT on insects maximizes feeding, trail following and mass recruitment in ants, ultimately destroying reproductives and the entire colony. Because of its high solubility in water, boron can remain in solution for prolonged periods of time without additional additives, making application of Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait effective for up to 6 months.
Sweet and Protein feeding ants, German Cockroaches
PESTS CONTROLLED WITH GREEN WAY LIQUID ANT KILLING BAIT: Sweet and Protein Feeding Ants (except Fire and Harvester Ants), Carpenter Ants, Argentine Ants; Roaches
You'll love the results you see after using Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait with 1% DOT (Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate). Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait is less repellent than other products and is far more effective at eliminating both the workers and queens in active ant colonies. Use Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait indoors with an add-your-own-bait station (like the Ant Café or Ant & Roach Buffet or the Ant Pro Bait Station) to quickly eliminate foragers. Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid is currently the only bait out there that is specially formulated to allow dilution while retaining the same effectiveness, cutting the effective cost by up to 75% and making this product a great economical bait. Ants love Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait because it uses a special insect attractant that mimics honeydew and enhances bait acceptance by a variety of Protein Feeding Ants, Sweet Feeding Ants, and roaches.
Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait can be used in conjunction with other baits for maximum bait acceptance. It can also be used in stations such as the Antopia R2 Ant Bait Station in situations where sprays are not desired, such as around organic crops.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate 1.0%
For especially heavy or stubborn ant infestations, it is often effective to combine Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait with a gel bait such as Gourmet Ant Bait Gel or Maxforce FC Ant Bait Gel. If you choose to combine two different kinds of baits, do not use more than one per bait station. Simply use a liquid formulation in some stations while placing the gel formulation in others. This gives finicky ants a variety of textures and baits to choose from. Due to the changing demands of the colony, it is common for foraging workers to also change their food sources. With Bait Plate Stations, two baits may be placed alongside one another in a single bait station.
How much bait is needed will vary depending on quantity and size of colonies. Each 32 oz. bottle will fill at least 2 Antopia R2 Ant Bait Stations completely, or 4 stations halfway.
* Use full strength or dilute with distilled water or other water based, food grade liquid (such as apple juice) 1:1 to make bait containing 0.5% active ingredient.
* If using in larger stations outside, place one station every 50 feet around structure.
Indoors or Outdoors near homes, apartments, condominiums, schools, hospitals, restaurants, grocery stores, food processing plants (nonfood areas), boats, cruise ships, institutional and commercial buildings, nursing homes, hotels, and warehouses
Indoors
Use Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait for the control of ants or German Cockroaches. Stations filled with Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait may be placed under food cabinets, sinks, stoves, refrigerators, food storage areas, attics, garages, basements, storage areas, closets, etc. Place bait stations on exterior windowsills and in doorways to help prevent entry of ants. Some bait stations may be designed to affixed to a wall, hung on pipes or branches, or placed on a flat surface.
Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait can be used to make small, pea sized placements and/or long thin lines in areas inaccessible to children and pets, where ants are a problem.
Outdoors
Place bait stations filled half-full with Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait on exterior window-sills and in doorways to help prevent entry. When using in Antopia R6 Ant Bait Station, use one station every 50 feet, or typically one station on each side of an average size home or business. If any of the bait stations is emptied in less than a week, double the initial placement. Replace baits as needed until feeding activity ceases. Sufficient bait should be made available for at least 14 days of continuous feeding. Replace the bait with fresh bait as needed.

This works quickly and is very effective at getting rid of carpenter ants. The first year we had an invasion of carpenter ants. They took about 2 to 3 weeks to get rid of. The second year in the spring I used the product right away, and the ants were not as many and were gone within a week. This year only saw a couple of ants early Spring, still using the ant bait and haven't seen anymore, and it is almost the 1st of June. Great product. Just make sure that it is in a safe area that pets & children cannot access.

Absolutely Amazing Product
By Frank on 07/04/2011
This is really supposed to be used outside - so you're not inviting the ants in to dinner. However, ants were already inside in large numbers having found an old candy cane under some papers that I didn't know was there. I used a small storage container cap, put a torn piece of a napkin from it to the counter as a bridge so the ants could get in easily; the napkin's capillary action soon brought the fluid over the top edge of the cap. Soon they were lined up - the top of the napkin looked like a bar with dozens of ants bellied up to it side-by-side; the under side had a crowd, too. The number of ants drinking and coming and going was amazing. I put another in a bathroom that was also troubled by ants. The standard long lines of Argentine ants coming and going were soon looking like a well traveled 4 lane highway. Within 8 hours I had no more ants and have not seen one since - 3 weeks now. I also used feeders and this bait outdoors - and they received it well there, too... for days. Now, I just don't see many ants anywhere at all. Used in combination with Maxforce Ant Bait Granular.

Gets rid of em
By Nancy on 06/24/2010
Started using 3 years ago. Just now using end of 4 bottles. No problem with ants since first year. Just setting bait in traps in case. We are ordering more this 4th year just to be sure they are at bay. Wouldn't use anything else. No problem to animals that we see. Thanks for the great "stuff".

Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait
By Donna on 11/07/2010
It took awhile for the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait to work. I have tried everything in the supermarket all summer long and nothing worked. I've tried borax, bay leaves, ant traps 3x's, nothing! It was very expensive to buy the bait and containers. But I now have no ant's.

I want to buy in bulk to eventually save money. But I am concerned that the product may lose potency after 3 or 4 years. I want to know how many years this product be stored before it expires.

I was wondering how much to use, and what I should put it in without buying stations. I have a 900 sq ft. home with a full basement that I am finishing. One floor with three bedrooms, a small kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. Where should I place the bait? Thank you

My apartment (multi-unit dwelling) is infested. Can you suggest the best way not to import any to a new apartment when I move?
Yes, Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait is an excellent option when treating for Pharaoh ants. You will put the product out in bait stations. They will consume the bait and/or take it back to the colony as well.
Another good option to use in conjunction with this product is Maxforce Complete Granules. This can be broadcast in your lawn and put in places where you have seen activity. It contains a unique formula with a mixture of proteins, simple sugars, fats and complex carbohydrates in a food-based granular structure that is irresistible to insects.
Also, be sure to check out our Ant Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent ants.
