Once ingested, the active ingredient DOT (Disodium Octabrate Tetrahydrate) begins a slow attack on the ants’ central nervous system that allows them to return to their nests after consuming the bait to pass along the DOT poisoning to their young and to the queen. When other food sources are removed, ants will continue feeding on Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait until they die.

Borates such as DOT have extremely low mammalian toxicity, and insects have shown no ability to develop resistance. Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait Application Instructions

1. Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait may be used at full strength for larger ants (like Carpenter), or diluted with distilled water or other food grade liquid 1:1 to make bait containing .5% active ingredient for smaller ants (Argentine, White-Footed, and Pharaoh)
2. Bait may be used in “Ant Café”, “Ant & Roach Buffet”, or other similar bait stations.
3. When using bait stations, wash hands thoroughly before handling bait to remove any odors that may be repellent to ants, i.e. tobacco, garlic, strong chemicals/ cleaners etc.
4. Remove as many competing food sources as practical. Vacuum or sweep floors to remove crumbs, etc. Ants are attracted to and will feed on Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait until they die.
5. Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait is designed to work slowly, and sufficient bait should be made available for at least 14 days of continuous feeding.
6. Repeat placement of the bait until satisfactory control has been achieved.
7. Do not use sprays, foggers or any strong chemicals or cleaners near the bait containers or placements. This may contaminate the bait and cause the insects to cease feeding.

Stations filled with Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait may be placed under food cabinets, sinks, stoves, refrigerators, food storage areas, attics, garages, basements, storage areas, closets, etc. Place bait stations on exterior windowsills and in doorways to help prevent entry of ants. Some bait stations may be designed to affixed to a wall, hung on pipes or branches, or placed on a flat surface.

Outdoors

When using in Antopia R6 Ant Bait Station, use one station every 50 feet, or typically one station on each side of an average size home or business. If any of the bait stations is emptied in less than a week, double the initial placement. Replace baits as needed until feeding activity ceases. Sufficient bait should be made available for at least 14 days of continuous feeding. Replace the bait with fresh bait as needed.
