    Q
Does Optigard Flex Liquid work on wasps?
I noticed your website list of insects did not include wasps, but a wasp control website says this is the best non-repelent to use for them. Any thoughts/ideas on this?
    A

Optigard Flex Liquid is labeled for yellow jackets and wasps.  On our website list there is  *See label for complete list, of which the wasps and yellowjects are in included there.  When treating for wasps and yellow jackets you will be treating their nests directly.

    Q
Will Optigard Flex Liquid work to keep Palmetto Bugs from entering my home?
We have tried several products (including professional) to keep these large roaches from entering our rural Florida home. We need an effective perimeter treatment because we have pet birds (small parrots) and don't want to use insecticides around them.
    A

Optigard Flex Liquid will definitely help reduce the palmetto bugs on your property. You should note that because palmetto bugs can fly that there is a chance that they could fly into your home without ever having touched a treated area. You can also help reduce the amount of palmetto bugs on your p…

    Q
Would Optigard Flex be effective against pyrethrins/pyrethroid resistant bedbugs?
Neonicotinoids have been found to be effective against bed bugs.
    A

Optigard Flex is NOT labeled for the treatment of bed bugs, so we do not recommend this product for that use. An insecticide that does contain a neonicotinoid, imidacloprid, that is excellent for bed bug treatment is Temprid SC. For complete bed bug treatments, we recommend the use of our bed bugs k

    Q
How do I use the insecticide ports outside my house?
I just moved to Texas and the house I purchased has several ports around the perimeter that I am told are for insectide to be applied to the house through tubes in the walls. We've just encountered our first roach after having received a clean pest inspection during the purchase. Can I use these ports myself? What kind of product do I apply? What is the method of application?
    A

We only carry one product labeled specifically for use in the wall delivery systems which would be the Optigard Flex. That being said, we have always been told that a homeowner would not have the proper equipment to utilize the in wall system and it requires a specific high pressure applicator for t…

  • Asked by Daniel from Houston, Tx

    Q
Why isn't Optigard Flex labeled for pharoah or carpenter ants?
If it works well for other ants why not them?
    A

Some ants act differently than other ant species which could limit the way the product would spread through the colony. Manufacturers will only include an insect on their product label if it meets certain criteria and for some reason they felt the product was not effective enough on Pharoah and carp…

    Q
Is Optigard Flex Liquid effective against argentinian ants?
    A

Optigard Flex Liquid is a fairly new product and we have not had any feedback on it specific to Argentinian Ants. Optigard Flex is labeled for ants and it is non-repellent and has a transfer effect, which makes it a top choice for social insects such as ants.

    Q
Is there something better to treat ants indoors and outdoors besides the Optigard Flex Liquid?
We also need something that is safe around our family and pets.
    A

Optigard Flex Insecticide is a great insecticide for ants. It is labeled to treat most types of ants, excluding pharoah and carpenter ants.
