While the Pro Control Plus Total Release 6oz fogger will leave an 8 week residual, it would not be the best treatment for long term control. Foggers alone will not eradicate a roach infestation. One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control.  These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer. The reason being that when you bomb you are only killing the insects that come in contact with the active ingredient. You want to use products that will break down the life cycle of the fleas. We recommend using the Indoor Flea Kit. The Indoor Flea Kit with Alpine Aerosol and CimeXa dust treats over 2000 sq. ft. of space and is an excellent combination for long-lasting flea control. The kit contains two cans of Alpine Aerosol which is one of the safest professional grade flea sprays for use indoors and was recently classified as a reduced risk product by the EPA. Delta dust can be applied using a hand duster directly behind baseboards, to window and door frames, corners, pipes, storage locations, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas which these pests may enter or crawl. We also recommend that you use a concentrated liquid insecticide such as Demon WP around the outside perimeter of your home to help create a barrier to keep these pests out. You should treat a band of soil 6 - 10 ft wide around and adjacent to the building. Also treat the building foundation to a height of 2 - 3 ft where pests are active and may find entrance. It is important that you do not rely on insecticides alone to control scorpions, you should also make some changes outdoors to make your property less favorable to this pest. Non-insecticide methods for scorpion control are: Harborage Removal- Harborage removal is key to scorpion control and will greatly reduce the numbers of scorpions in the area surrounding the structure, making it far less likely that they will enter. Harborage removal includes eliminating piles of lumber, bricks, and other stacked items that create clusters of tight spaces, elimination of vegetation and other heavy ground coverings near homes and buildings, trimming back tree and shrub limbs from walls and roof, and keeping gutters clear of leaves and other debris. -

You could try and place a Pro Pest Pheronet trap in there. This will help to lure the moths away from where they are residing. -

The Pro Control could certainly still be good if it was stored properly over that 3 year time frame. Most insecticides are good for at least 3 years and often up to 5 years.

Read Full Answer »Pro Control Plus Total Release is not labeled for the treatment of bird mites. It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with bird mites. Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. Treatment for say bedbugs is much different than the treatment for bird mites. If you do indeed have bird mites, you must first find the source of the infestation, usually a bird nest or a dead bird on or in the home. Removal of the infested nest or bird and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use MotherEarth Dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good. Please review our article on How To Control Bird Mites. -

Although this would kill some of the ants and any stink bugs that are present when the bomb goes off, this will not get rid of either insect at the source. Foggers only effect insects that are out in the open while it is going off, so any stink bug or other insect that is hiding behind a wall void or in a crevice will not be affected by it. If the ants are coming into your bathroom, using a bait combination for them to take back to kill the entire colony and the queen would be a better option. You could try our Complete Ant Kit which provides both nutritional needs that ants need-sugars and proteins- as well as stations to place the bait in and stick near the vent or above the tub. You can also place the stations in the attic if you see where they are trailing. To help prevent ants from coming in your home in the future, check to make sure no bushes, flowers or trees touch the side of your home to allow a bridge inside, and treat the foundation and around windows and doors with a general insecticide like Talstar P. For stink bugs already in your home, there is not much you can do at this point as the ones you are seeing have been in there all winter and are now coming out as it is warmer outside. To prevent a re-infestation, you can use our Overwintering Kit for Stink Bugs to start treating your home once a month from August through at least November. All people and pets should be out of the home while the foggers are being deployed, and they should stay out for at last two hours (Be sure all windows and exterior doors are closed). After two hours, the windows should be opened and the home should be ventilated for at least 30 minutes before reoccupying the area. If you only see an occasional flea, vacuuming all of the carpets and rugs may be all you need to do to remove the problem.

I want to use in the Pro Control Plus Total Release in the laundry room, oil tank room and basement. All the rooms are connected. Will the fogger turn corners, or do I need one can for each room?AWe think you would get better results using one can per room. Since you place the cans in the middle of the room and the fog goes straight up to the ceiling and then straight down, you will not get much movement left and right and around corners. One can per room will yield much better results.
