Do you remove the paper covering from the J.T. Eaton Nectus 2G Second Generation Rodenticide packets, or do you use the bait "as is" to put into the bait stations?

A

There is no need to remove the paper from the J.T. Eaton Nectus 2G Second Generation Rodenticide soft bait packets. Rodents naturally like to gnaw, so the paper wrapping is appealling to them.

For squirrels in an attic its best to use snap traps and glue traps in the attic to catch them on, or use a one way door excluder mounted over their entry/exit point to the home/attic to allow them to leave and then patch the hole after they are out.

What is the shelf life of J.T. Eaton Nectus 2G Second Generation Rodenticide?
I purchased the 16lb bucket as it's the only thing available. I won't use the whole amount in one season (I plan to rotate baits throughout the year to avoid rodents developing resistance). What is the opened shelf life of this if stored in "cool, dry place"

Can J.T. Eaton Nectus 2G Second Generation Rodenticide (716-S) be used in burrows/holes that run along the edges of our cement driveway for mice control? outdoors? I use these outdoors too?
These holes look unsightly all along the driveway that meets the grass. We're pretty sure they're mice, as we see them sometimes scurrying about when we are out mowing the lawn.

To help deter non target animals from acessing rodent bait such as J.T. Eaton Nectus 2G Second Generation Rodenticide, the bait needs to be used in tamper resistant bait stations. These bait stations help secure the bait blox to avoid loose bait out in the open and also make it so non target animals and children are not able to get into the station to the bait. This rodenticide can pose harm to animals if they were to directly ingest the bait blocks. Always keep rodent bait stored up and out of reach from children and pets and be sure the lid is tighly closed. If your animals were to get into the rodent bait directly, contact the Vet immediately for the Vitamin K antidote that is available. As temperatures rise or drop, the soft bait will return to it’s orginal form but could sour quicker. The use of tamper resistant bait staitons will help shield rodent baits from rain, snow, direct sunlight and keep non target animals and kids from accessing the bait.
